Fabulous Hotel in BeygoluPosted Sep 6, 2014
Pros: Quality rooms, great facilities, very helpful staff. This is a really top class hotel.
Cons: They have a great bar called the 'Oriental Bar' but is was closed for the season apparently.
Location: The location is perfect for Beyoglu, which is a very lively part of town full of restaurants etc. Its bit harder to get to the main sights.
Really top class hotel, historic awesome room, swimming pool, great location. I was travelling alone and exploring Istanbul and the Pera Palas was perfect.

Great hotel. Well managed with large roomsPosted Aug 9, 2014
Pros: Staff was very attentive to our needs. The hotel was very comfortable and the room was large with good facilities.
Cons: air conditioning was too cold and the regulator was confusing to control and understand
Location: Did not do too much in the neighborhood, and have no comments
Very much enjoyed our stay at Pera Palace. Room was large and comfortable, and the staff was great. Ate at the restaurant on three occasions and found that the food and service were wonderful.

Charm and historyPosted Jun 11, 2014
Cons: Food is expensive.
Location: Easy walking to sites.
Special kudos for the staff. Completely refurbished yet retaining the feel of an older place. Food was expensive but lots of choices right around the hotel.

The highlight of our stay in IstanbulPosted May 19, 2014
Pros: no complaints about anything
Cons: The in room wine opener kept breaking but the bartender always came through to open it for us.
Location: Taksim Square and Istiklal Ave, Galata Tower, and Galata Bridge.
Sometimes a hotel can make or break your experience in a city. The Pera Palace was the icing on the cake to our wonderful stay in Istanbul. Great service, excellent food and you must try the hammam in the spa.

Full of characterPosted Apr 11, 2014
Pros: The staff were attentive but not overly so. There is plenty of character. the location is very good.
Cons: A pre- booking option for breakfast on Expedia would help. We did have breakfast everyday & although faultless, with three of us it was expensive.
Location: We walked to the Golden Horn for the boat trip. We used public transport, tram, underground, nostalgic tram. Taxi to Cistern only £6 for three of us.
First time in Istanbul, I was a little nervous, but the Pera Palace immediately put me at my ease. The transport was waiting for us, a roomy six seater, which arrived in plenty of time for the return journey too. A warm welcome at the hotel, and we had been given rooms at the back of the hotel with views accross the city. The staff were charming, the concierge especially knowledgeable and helpful. Our request for extra pillows was met, large bathroom with shower and bath, comfortable bed.

Beautifully presented, but beware...Posted Apr 7, 2014
Lovely hotel, with excellent standard of rooms and a good location for the new town. Note though that the second floor Golden Horn rooms are directly above the ballroom. So when there's a disco on below until almost midnight you don't have any choice but to listen to it. So, ask to go higher up of you're staying at the weekend.
