“It has only gotten better!”

My second visit to The Pera Tulip was as delightful as my 2008 visit after it had just opened. I cannot understand the other comments in reviews about the accommodations. Each time , I have a standard double which is above average in size for a European style boutique hotel. I always have had a beautiful all marble bathroom with a large separate shower. The linens are luxurious and the decor is quite elegant. As for the staff? they are mostly young, attractive, personable and professional. Ahmet and Beatris were standouts among a great group. The breakfast is perfect with the food that I dream about: eggs, cheese, yogurt, figs, fresh fruit and many breads. By the way, four nights a week Mr. Ilham Gencer plays the piano in the Lounge. He is a charming performer which reminds me of bygone era.

“Wonderful trip to Istanbul”

We had a wonderful trip to Istanbul in Aug 2011 and our stay at the Pera Tulip Hotel greatly added to that wonderful experience. First the basics; we found the hotel to be clean and all the facilities worked as needed including the a/c, good firm bed, clean linens and pleasant decorations. In addition, the continental breakfast was very good in taste, selection, hours opened and service. We tarried in the dining room each morning just because it was so pleasant. The room size was adequate (if you want a suite, pay for a suite I say) and the bathroom facilities were exceptional, especially the shower it was quite large. The only hotel shower we've had bigger was in a five plus star deluxe hotel. The staff wasso friendly, even when working through the language barrier. We found the location to be excellent. It's personal preference, but we highly preferred and enjoyed being in the Beyoglu district and the Pera Tulip is just a block or so (but not on, thankfully) Istiklal Caddesi. I hope we make it back to Istanbul soon, and we'll definitely stay at the Pera Tulip again. Teshekkurler

“Posh hotel at affordable price in near local hotspot”

The hotel is very close to Taxim square, where all the locals hang out (bars, hookah bars, etc) and is in a very safe neighborhood. The hotel is posh, but if you're a woman be aware that they only have a male attendant at the hamman/spa. Although the price is affordable, it's not a very authentic experience. Nonetheless, great hotel to stay at but is on the opposite end of tourist Sultanahmet.

“The Pera Tulip excells in style and practice!”

This is the 3rd hotel in this area where I have stayed while on Holiday in Istanbul. It is the best; however, I do not deminish the others. Being only 6 months old gives it added value. Althoug under this management, it should contimue to shine. Good breakfast, nice spa and kind staff make it a sweet time. I liked the well appointed public spaces too.

“Great little Boutique Hotel”

Beautiful modern hotel, very friendly staff, always ready to help, location was great, near Taksim area so had many dinner options, not so hustle bustle as the Sultanahmet area, when I go back to Istanbul will definitely stay here again.

“good hotel in great location; excellent value”

This was my fifth trip to Istanbul but first time in this hotel. It's on a side street lined with small hotels, very close to the subway and to Istaklal (the main pedestrian street). Friendly staff, clean but small rooms. The pools, sauna and steam room were a nice touch; the gym was tiny and usually empty. Overall for the price, a great value hotel.

“Perfect Location; Great Boutique Hotel”

Our room was a bit on the small side, but it was clean, modern, and quiet. The location in Beyoglu is perfect -- with the Galata Tower and Istaklal just blocks away. Great restaurants and bars. I can't say enough good things.
