“Superb Location - Needs Facelift”
Pierre Loti is a well situated hotel with good staff services. Our room was a bit over the hill and in need of an overhaul. The bed, though comfortable, was very low. The bedspread appeared to be quite old and in need of replacement. Restaurant service took a long time for lunch, while bar service was reasonably prompt.
“Value for Money”
Acceptable for the money. As a lot of other reviews mention, the rooms are very small, which is not a big issue if you are outside most of the day. We got caught having to stay indoors due to weather for a day, and it was quite unpleasant. Recommend it if you are going to be outside all day, otherwise look for other options. Location is excellent, if a little noisy.
“Not a good choice ...”
Hotel is in a convenient location in the old city centre, at a walking distance for sightseeing. However, rooms were really tiny, not well maintained and daily cleaning service of the room was quite deficient. Staff was unattentive in general terms and far from being willing to provide a basic level of service. As an example, the cleaning lady forgot one of the days the towels of the room, and we found when we came back that there was no towel, and it took three hours waiting and four calls to the reception to get a couple of towels delivered. Several other issues with the reception staff. Breakfast was quite poor, and with a very limited choice. Some additional dishes are offered but not included in the basic breakfast and need to be paid in addition.
“Very Nice Hotel”
Me and my wife spent 5 days in instanbul, the hotel was very clean and modernly renovated. the hotel was located just 3 minutes walking to blue mosque, aya sofia, etc.. which was amazing to us. overall, i would give it A+
“great location”
Great location for seeing important sites. Also it has a roof garden restaurant from which one can see local landmarks and look across the water into Asia. Romantic!
“Wonderful receptionist”
If I return to Istanbul, I will return to this hotel. It was perfect! There is a woman who works the reception during the day who is particularly efficient, friendly and helpful. She helped us very much in our trip!
“Great Location/Good Hotel”
The location of this hotel is what I like best. It is situated more or less between the major tourist attractions of Sultanahmet and the Grand Bazar. It is also a nice downhill stroll to the Spice Souq area. An added bonus is that it is on the tram line. The hotel itself, although not 5 star is comfortable and clean, with a friendly staff. The rooftop bar is nice as well, with good views and the free breakfast buffet is adequate.
“disappointed”
we all make mistakes but it's how a hotel handles a mistake that defines its caliber. Even by turkish standards this hotel falls short. my colleague and i requested two twin beds; we got a kingsize. when we brought it their attention, rather than giving us a room that complied with our advance request, they brought in a cot. breakfast was supposedly included but we were charged for Orange juice and pretty much everything else that one expects to have with their breakfast. when we complained that their should be a sign stating which items they charged for, the little young lady behind the desk began shouting and making such a scene people in the lobby all turned to look at what was going on. so we just payed it and got out of there as fast as we could. this is a sorry excuse for a hotel. how they got a 4-star rating, i'll never know. stay at a 3 star and save yourself both money and aggrevation.
“below expectations and below standards of neighboring hotels”
- stray hair on the bathroom floor and in the bedding, dust on all the table surfaces, and uncomfortable mattresses - compared to other similar hotels in the area, this place has a slightly more convenient location and is slightly cheaper as well - compared to other similar hotels in the area, the breakfast is subpar and the service on the frosty side (actually some of the staff were helpful, but one young girl at the reception desk was quite unpleasant)
“mistake”
though this hotel is put as four star on expedia but after staying in that hotel came to know that is not worth of 1 star also...locationwise no doubt it is too good..situated in the sultanehmet area which is main tourist area..but in all otehr asepcts i'll definetly not recommend this hotel..rooms are exceptionally small in terms of 4 star rating hotel rooms...also rooms lack some basic amenities ... for people who need quite environment for sleeping this hotel is absolutely no-no..for two nights i coudn't sleep becoz sounds from adjoining rooms were too loud.. Breakfast is too bad..ont he buffet there is nothing accept stale breads and coffee vending machine.. For travelelrs looking for budget hotels with good service and location i suggest be very careful while choosing... before shifting to this hotel i was staying in hilton parksa which in cntrastw as too good..
