“Location....location”

Great location...all major sights are within short walking distance. Friendly staffs, nice and clean room. Good breadfast to start the day.

“Great location and hotel staff”

The room was small but very conveniently laid out and the bathroom was very nice. The location of this small hotel is wonderful and the rooftop terrace has lovely views of the Marmara and the Blue Mosque. The hotel staff was friendly and very helpful and the breakfast buffet was very nice and served in a pretty conservatory.

“POEM Location is GREAT!”

The location of the POEM Hotel is superb for seeing the main sites such as the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, the Grand Bazaar, and the Topkapi Palace. Great cafes abound on the surrounding streets. The area was quiet and peaceful when we were ready to sleep. Even better than the location was the excellent service by all staff. They answered our questions, gave us directions, helped us carry our large suitcase to our room, called us a taxi to arrive at a very early hour, told us how much the taxi should cost, and even had a little library of tours books we could use. The breakfast was healthy, tasty and attractive. I appreciated the free internet service as well. I highly recommend the POEM. -- an older couple from the United States

“Fantastic Hotel”

If you're looking for friendly and hospital staff, clean rooms, and great location from restaurants to sightseeing this is the hotel. The free breakfast is worth waking up for. I will definitely stay there again.

“Great location, fairly priced”

This hotel is only a few minutes walk from popular tourist attractions like Blue Mosque, Palace etc. The room was comfortable and the staff was friendly. The free breakfast was perfectly fine, nothing special. We don't spend much time in our room except to sleep and use the bathroom and if you're that kind of traveller this is a great place.

“Friendly and Clean”

There was a little hiccup on checking in; we had requested a twin room (for two guys) but only a double was available. This was easily remedied by the staff giving us separate rooms until the following day. The hotel is small however it was well positioned in Sultanahmet only minutes walk from the bars and street cafes but in a quiet little side street. The rooms are comfortable, spotlessly clean and the hotel staff were very helpful.

“Nice and clean hotel”

This hotel is close to everything that a visitor might be interested. Great location. It should definately be mentioned that the hotel staff are great! They are very helpful and always smiling. The view is absolutely wonderful, you can print postcards with the pictures you take from your room. The single room was a little small though, but you don't mind it when you have a clean and comfortable bed and bath. I certainly reccomend this hotel.

“pretty nice- with one caveat”

This is a friendly small hotel in a great location right near sights such as the Blue Mosque. The staff is helpful, there's a good-sized buffet breakfast, and my room was small but comfortable. My only quibble is that the rooms don't seem to be soundproofed at all, and I was some nights bothered by the talking in the room next door and also at the reception, since my room was right near the front entrance. Possibly other rooms wouldn't have this problem.

Traveler's tip

getting there is really easy from the airport with the metro and tram. Don't bother shelling out money for a cab unless you have a lot of luggage.

“tiny but nice”

The hotel was very sweet except that the room I had, although it had a nice view through the leaves, was the smallest room I have ever stayed in. There was no desk and I could hardly fit between the furniture. Comfortable bed and good water pressure though. I suspect there are bigger ones and would suggest asking for one.
