Great location

I have stayed at the Sarnic three times , it is very well situated , clean and very comfortable . I have only stayed overnight each time , but would gladly stay for much longer due to its situation in Sultanahmet

unfriendly; not worth your money

Hotel staff is not at all friendly. I felt unsafe the three nights I was there. Hotel rooms are crammed and they didn't give me the room they had originally promised me. I will not be going there again. There are many better options available in Istanbul for the price.

Good pick

Traveling with my daughter in mid December 2013. The hotel was great. Staff very helpful to find our way around, with language tips, and smiles. Great selection for breakfast. The location perfect. We were sad to leave.

right in the heart of Old Istanbul

Posted Nov 29, 2013
Pros: Centrally located in the old area, with views of the Blue Mosque and the Marmara Sea, very pleasant and safe area to walk
This hotel is in a building that's probably 200 years old at least but bathroom/toilets are all very modern and western style. The staff were wonderfully helpful, very knowledgeable about the tours they were offering, they arranged a walking trip thru the Blue Mosque and Topkapi Palace. I had a guide + me, rather than joining a mass tour. Their breakfast spread was great, supper rather average but right in the heart of the Sultanahmet area, there are dozens of restaurants and coffee shops. They also arranged a 1 day fly and day tour of Cappadocia, a very long day but to see the sights was truly amazing.

This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel and would certainly stay again . It's very well situated , being only minutes from the Blue Mosque and other main places of interest .the rooms I have had are perfectly adequate for the standard of the hotel , the staff I must say were very helpful both times I stayed there, and look forward to another visit .

Great hotel, but no elevators

Posted Oct 5, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel is centrally located around multiple attractions, the staff is very helpful. The only problem is that there are no elevators, so carrying luggage to the rooms and down is not the most convenient.

Nice 4 days stay

Pros: Staff, location
Cons: Neighbor's fridg was too loud to fall asleep. (I unplug our room's, but didn't stop the noise. Avoid room # 405 then)
Location: Blue Mosque, Sophia palace, underground palace, Mosaik Museum (Bazzar), a lot of restaurants
The hotel's location is very good. 5 mins walk to Blue Mosque, a smaller but cute bazzar where we bought most of our Turkish suvnirs there, as Grand Bazzar is too lare too noisy too overwhelming that you lost your appetite to shop, 10 mins walk to Sophia, subway stops, and a lot of restaurant, and shops. We booked Sarnic hotel which is the ordinary part, they have also have Sarnic Premier which seems more advance and comfortable. The hote staff were all very friendly, just like most of the Istanbul people we ran into. Breakfast is sufficiet, not much meat but good preserved olice and cheese dishes I liked a lot. The breakfast restaurant is in the 1st floor connected with garden, so you can enjoy your food in garden with 2 cute hotel cats playing in the yard, which you will soon found very common in Istanbul.

Good position but very pricey for what you get.

Posted Jul 7, 2013
Pros: The position
Cons: Everything about the room
Location: The location is excellent
Excellent position, ok breakfast, and reasonable internet - close to all the main attractions in Sultanhamet - but facilities are generally poor for the price. There was no hot water, the bathroom is very cramped. The room is basic. The air-conditioning was poor. There is no elevator and the stairways are very narrow.

Pros: Location
Cons: Water issue and size of room
Location: In a convenient area to see the main tourist sights of Sultanhamet.
Problem with hot water and the shower dead was not easy to use. Not user friendly. Good location and convenient to all your needs.
