Good LocationPosted Aug 19, 2013 on Hotels.com
The room was a little cramped but the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was quite good and with great views. The hotel is convenient for the ferries, the park and lots of street restaurants nearby.

really pleased with our hotelPosted Aug 3, 2013 on Hotels.com
good value for money - great location. room was small...but comfortable. wifi worked well in room. Choose a quiet room at back of hotel as hotel is on main tram line - noisy outside.breakfast very good...fresh fruit - good coffee and juices...and nice pastries.would stay there again as so handy to main attractions. Can catch tram outside hotel to metro to airport...cheaply,

good beds; great locationPosted Jul 29, 2013 on Hotels.com
Twin room rather small. Bathroom great - always hot water. Breakfast on roof in beautiful dining room with wonderful view of Bosphorous. Check out not until 12:00 noon which is good. We had room at rear of hotel which was great as no street noise which can be very noisy as hotel is on main road with trams and traffic outside. So if you want quiet - ask for rear of hotel. Staff very nice - but little English seem to be spoken. Would stay again.

Great position in IstanbulPosted Jun 28, 2013
Pros: Very central to the "old Istanbul". Staff very helpful.
Cons: A bit of noise from surrounding building work but nothing too disturbing
Location: Near to the centre of old Istanbul.
I found both the staff at reception and restaurant very friendly and extremely willing to help.

Good locationPosted Jun 23, 2013
Pros: Good location.
Cons: The bathroom needs to be updated especially the shower area.
Location: Easy access to public transport (metro/tram and boat), restaurants and convenience stores. It's a 15-20 minute walk to Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, etc.
The room was quite small and bathroom should be updated. The good location made up for this though. Breakfast selection was pretty much the same every day, but sufficient. Overall, it was good value for our money. The location was really the best part of Seres.

Pleasantly SurprisedPosted Jun 10, 2013 on Hotels.com
I booked the room as it was very affordable and the location seemed central however I did set my expectations low. After spending a week at the Seres I'm glad I was brave. The location is perfect, lots of cafes and restaurants on the doorstep. The nearest tram station is less than a 5 min walk away which makes getting around (to Taksim/Gata Tower etc very easy). The tram line does run outside the hotel which can be a little noisy with the window open, I closed mine and wasn't woken once by a passing tram. Grand Bazaar, Hippodrome, Blue Mosque and so on are all a short walk away (very touristy and never felt unsafe even into the small hours). The room and bedding was very clean and changed daily, the bed was a little on the hard side. The bathroom was also very clean and if I was hunting for something to grumble about it would be the shower curtain sticking to me in the walk-in shower. I didn't try the food in the restaurant on the roof but it did have some reasonably nice views. Staff were friendly, helpful and patient. Overall I'm happy and would stay at the Seres again, excellent value.

Loved location and staffPosted May 25, 2013 on Hotels.com
Room was good. Bed was a bit too hard but the price, location, very helpful staff and fabulous rooftop terrace made it a great choice! I would recommend it.

a gem in a central locationPosted Apr 24, 2013 on Hotels.com
We chanced upon this hotel a number of years ago and as fairly regular visitors to istanbul, we plan our visits around their having a vacancy for us. Consistently good, clean and helpful with, now, an extended buffet breakfast. A pleasure to return there.

Good base to see the sights on the European side.Posted Apr 24, 2013
Cons: Noise, paper-thin walls
Location: 10 minute walk from the Blue mosque and other major tourist sites.
You get what you pay for. We could feel the vibrations of the trams going past at night and, as we were at the rear of the building, there was also the constant noise from the air conditioning machinery outside. Having said that, the room was very clean and the staff were incredibly polite and friendly. If you book a room in a hotel in the middle of a tourist area in a city, you have to accept that it's going to be noisier than one set in luscious grounds on the outskirts.
