room is small, noisy. phone is very dusty. no dial tone. There is no information booklet. Badly Stains of bed protector n mattress. Bitten by bed bedbugs Overall APPALLING.

The rooms of our hotel are larger than the rooms of other hotels. Also, it's impossible to have something like a bedbug. We have never received such a complaint from any of our guests before. Our hotel is constantly disinfected. Of course, if this was the case, you wouldn't have to stay in our hotel for 6 days.We could get a refund. You did not make any complaints during your stay .

Great location
The hotel is very well located, extremely close to Sultanahmet square, in a very touristic district. Rooms and breakfast are ok. Wifi is sometimes difficult to get.

Didn’t feel comfortable,simply because I couldn’t sleep the first night. Kept scratching all night....the bed wasn’t clean!. Had to cut my stay short and leave the place after terrible night,though I paid for two!. I don’t recommend it,even for cheap price.

Great location, walking distance to blue mosque and most other attractions in the area. Heaps of restaurants along this street, i was told it gets loud at night so i slept with ear plugs and was fine

The Star hotel is very clean and nice. We were very happy there not with very great hotel´s location but also with very helpful staff. I will recommend this hotel to my friends for sure :)

This hotel is located in a good location not too far from the blue mosque 2 minutes away on foot and not too far from the grand bazaar (around 20 minutes walk). The staff were very nice and helpful and the facilities were always clean, but it’s not too great for immobile people as they don’t have a elevator. I recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Istanbul. If you are travelling in the morning I advise you to book their taxi as the price of the normal taxis are unpredictable and they go up due to the traffic. I am very greatfull for your hospitality I won’t hesitate to book here again. See you next holiday.

Prime location in Istanbul
Clean and comfortable hotel.We had a pleasant stay in this cosy small hotel.All amenties were adequate with the bonus of being so central to Blue Mosque,Aya Sofia and the tram.Breakfast was typically turkish with cheeses,cold meat,olives,eggs,cakes and cereal.Something for everyone,however people with mobility problems will not find hotel suitable due to no lifts.I would not hestiate to recommend this hotel if you are on a budget.Another plus point it has mini fridge to store drinks.

The Star Hotel Istanbul gives what it promises. It is well situated (within easy walking distance of Hagia Sophia, the Egyptian market and much more), clean, comfortable and very affordable. The little fridge in the room allows guests to ensure cold water and beer at all times. Although the room does not offer a kettle and tea or coffee an abundance of restaurants around the hotel has excellent tea and coffee. Breakfast on the roof is ample and offers a lovely view of the environment. Staff went out of their way to assist us with all our queries. The manager even made sure that apple tea would be provided when I mentioned that I really enjoy Turkish apple tea. As the hotel has no elevator, make sure to mention if you have difficulties with stairs.

Great location near all historical places in Sultanahmet. The hotel is basic and wifi doesn’t always work. The breakfast is limited however the staff are welcoming and helpful.

You get what you paid for
To be honest, I cannot complain, it is a very cheap hotel, so you get what you paid for. The location is great. The personal is very welcoming.

Excellent for on a Budget
Booked the hotel for family and they had nothing but nice things to say about their stay. The staff went above and beyond to assist. People on the front desk were extremely kind, specifically a person in the name of Serdar. Other hotels in the area were checked out and they were more expensive with even smaller double-bed rooms than this hotel offers. Breakfast is minimal but not bad. Basically, you get what you pay for. Might hear some music from outside the hotel at night.

Has a lot of potential
First, the neighborhood was too loud. Music from another establishment was blasting till around 3 am in the morning. The heater took a long time to come on and heat up the room. The TV was a nightmare to work and figure out. Plus my room was cleaned.

Amazing location!
Star Hotel is in the heart of Sultanahmet in a very nice street. There are great places to eat, drink and chill on the same street. Also to shop. In addition to that, it's walking distance to Hagia Sofia and the Blue Mosque. It was a very pleasant stay indeed and would for sure stay at this hotel if I return to Istanbul.

I stayed at basement room and I didn't know why ,, the window was under the street and smell of smokers came out of it.. AC is good and bathroom not bad In general I recommend to try this hotel

The star Hotel is a small BNB. It was perfect for me and my husband, Mehmet -Manager was helpful, providing information etc. Most importantly the location for this hotel is brilliant, lots of cafes shops and restaurants. ideal for a short stay! I would defensively come back Thank you Mehmet

Central and very comfortable but a little noisy
We were met by very friendly staff who couldn't have been more helpful. We were given an upgrade to a fantastic room overlooking the fascinating street below. The buffet breakfast was served on the amazing balcony rooftop restaurant overlooking the Bosporus and could not have been more perfect. The hotel is right beside the ancient city walls and two minutes from all the major sites including Sultanahmet and Santa Sophia. The city team is walking distance and Grand Bazar likewise. The only fly in the ointment was the noise from the adjacent cafes at night. If you are into late night music and street vibe this place is perfect, but for anyone wanting to sleep before around 2am you might like to find somewhere more secluded. But I want to emphasise the hotel itself was absolutely wonderful

A realy nice and peacefull place
Booking confirmation was easy, friendly staff, very helpful, gave me lots of information and tips and quiet place, service is basic but comfortable, they were even very helpful for advising me of the airport shuttle in the end of my stay and booked it for me, I enjoyed it and willing to do it again in the future

Sokağa terkedilmiş sokak köpeğine benzedim
Esas rezervasyon ve ödeme yaptığım otelin dolu olduğu söylenerek ve sistem sorunu yaşandığı iddaa edilerek bu otele yönlendirildim. Beklentilerim karşılanmadı. Ama yine de sokakda kalmamak için mücale verdim. Sonuçda zorunlu olarak bu otele yönlendirildim. Hotels.com dan birdaha rezervasyon yapmayı düşünmüyorum. Hotels.com a artık güvenmiyorum. Ve açıkcası kredi kartı bilgilerimi verdiğim için korkuyorum. Parayı önceden yatırdım ve kapıdan kovuldum. Kendimi sokak köpeği gibi hissettim.
