“Ideal Location For The Blue Mosque”

Great location, just a 5 minuite walk and you are at the Blue Mosque and near many other historical sites for Istanbul. Hotel was clean and comfortable, breakfast was typical Turkish fair with the added bonus of beingin an old dungen. Staff very friendly and spoke enough english to help with any questions. Would definately stay here again.

Hotel Stone provided good welcome and hospitality with staff being friendly and helpful throughout stay. We were delighted with our room with sea view - plenty of storage space and great bathroom. The cleanliness of the Hotel was excellent and was sited in an area perfect for accessing all areas of Istanbul. We were fortunate to have printed off details and map of Hotel as Taxi Driver from Airport had difficulty locating Hotel Stone.

It's not fancy but it's clean and cozy. It's also in the most perfect location. There is a tramway station nearby, too. The staff is extremely helpful and tries to make you comfortable in every way. We have already recommended Stone Hotel to friends who will be in Istanbul this winter.

The staff make the difference at this hotel - very friendly and helpful, always have a smile for you and nothing was a problem. Breakfast in the lovely courtyard was a perfect start to each morning. Great location too - 2min walking to Blue Mosque, 10min to Topkapi Palace and 15min walk to Grand Bazaar. I would definitely stay there again.

“Great location, friendly caring staff and comfortable 3*”

We are a couple in our early 60's, fit and active, but after a 29 hour trip from start to finish, we where delighted to be received so gently with tea and advice while our luggage was taken to our room. The friendly assistance was consistant and no requests were too much trouble. The hotel is comfortable and clean and we were very pleased with our deluxe sea view room, even though you need to open the window to see the sea.We had included breakfast in our room price and after further travels through Turkey, the Stone Hotel breakfast was well presented, fresh and a good array of fruit, yoghurt, cereal, eggs and the traditional turkish olives, cold meats, cucumbers and tomatoes. The central location means you are just a stones throw(no pun intended) from the Hippodrome and there are many good eateries nearby not forgetting the restaurant at the hotel itself.I have no hesitation in recommending the Stone Hotel to fellow travellers as a solid 3* stay.

“A reliable small hotel”

The Stone Hotel is in the old Sultanahmed quarter of Istanbul, near many of the main sights. The view from the roof is fabulous. The staff are very obliging when dealing with unusual requests. Unfortunately the cafe is closed pending refurbishment, but the courtyard breakfast was fine. I I ever go back to Istanbul, this is where I will stay.

“A friendly oasis”

I Found this hotel extremely convenient, friendly and comfortable, for a simple little hotel. The staff speaks English and was happy to help me try some words in Turkish. The breakfast was substantial and good. The only problem was the roof top patio was closed for remodeling. I wound up going to other hotels for sunset veiwing. Hopefully the remodel will be done soon.
