I booked this hotel for my daughter. Most disgusting hotel I have seen. Faulty electrics, mould in the fridge, horrible smells and looks nothing like on the photos. WOULD NOT BOOK HERE

The photos on your site are not representing the actual status of the rooms and the hotel. the rooms and the common areas are not clean. the room was having a very bad smell of cigarettes, sewerage and humidity. They did not refund the money that I paid.

The hotel was in a very bad condition , broken electric sockets sticking out of the wall , very dirty rooms and beds lining yellow stain on pillows and a very revolting smell in the hotel ,very poor customer service , please stay away from this hotel i had to leave on the first night after booking 7 nights , no apologies no refund i took pictures of the room and showed it to them and asked for my money back i was told no refund because i paid with a card .please this hotel is a hotel from hell . as one of you customer this hotel should be removed from your website the photos are very misleading.

Yes, we have given you a different room than your reservation. Because we had to do this because of you. Because your reservation was for 2 adults and 2 children. But those you marked as children were 16 and 25 years old. So these people are not children. Child age is between 7-12. It is written in details. They are adults. Especially the 25-year-old is definitely not a child. For this reason, while a difference should be taken from you, we did not. Your approach and thoughts are not fair. I don't see the need for further explanation.

10 years ago, I stayed at this location and I loved it, but the owner or new one, let the property into disrepair. Very poor property and I do not believe the property is fit for living. The black toxic mold is filling the room. The toilet is overlapped by the sink !!!! the room is so cold and moist..

Miserable stay
I was in this hotel for 13 days with my family and it was miserable . The bed sheets never been changed . We were four in the room and the cleaner gave us three body towels and two hand towels and sometimes without hand towels and when i ask the cleaner about that she told me " finish". The bathroom was full of fungi and the drainage didn't work normally. The breakfast was ready plate and repeated. The only two good things to tell about were the place of the hotel is near the the area of Sultan Ahmed and the staff was polite.

STAY AWAY - REALITY IS NOT LIKE POHOTS
This was awful. When we checked in around 10:00pm, we were shocked by the condition of the room. The smell of the mildew was suffocating, the room was extremely old and received no attention in ages. The actual room had no resemblance to photos shown here. We asked for a different room and the guy said there were none. We were forced to go and look for a different hotel and move in the middle of the night. We lost the money for a 5-night stay because it was nonrefundable (surprise surprise).

Stone Hotel stay
We really enjoyed our stay at the Stone Hotel. Breakfast on the terrace with a view of the Kucuk Aya Sofia and the sea was beautiful. We also liked the garden and courtyard which was peaceful to sit in during the early evening. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I was able to extend my stay by one night and for us to stay in the same hotel room as I had accidentally booked with one night too short because I got the day of the return flight to UK wrong. Hotel very flexible and amenable which was excellent. Good central location which made it easy to walk to Sultanahmet to see the fountain in the day and illuminated at night and to visit Blue Mosque (Mavi Cami). I would definitely stay here again and recommend this for holiday makers to stay there.

Well placed to visit most of the sights that you would wish to see on foot. Grand bazaar, 15-20 minute casual walk. Plenty of good restaurants around the area and the pricing was mostly very reasonable for excellent food.

I can't say enough about the location; this hotel is near every main attraction - walking distance away. The rooms are just like what's shown in the pictures - nothing more, nothing less. The only downside I experienced with this hotel is that the walls are so thin you could hear every little sound; you could hear people talking from outside, elevator doors and room doors slamming, and even guess talking in their rooms. If you could block out the noise and are not looking for too much of a fancy hotel, this is a great place to stay.

The hotel itself was run down and could have been cleaner. The location was loud because of the the close proximiy to several mosques, making sleep difficult.

Perfect location, basic essentials
The hotel has an ideal location. 3 minutes away from Blue Mosque and very easy to find. Facilities are a bit dated and hotel requires some maintenance. But you pay for what you get and the £64 for two nights was well worth it imo. I'd go back as a single traveller not fussed about standards. But wouldnt book it for a family holiday .

Great location
Just minutes away from the main attractions, shops, restaurants, transport. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is not bad, enough variety to keep you going for a while. The room is of a fair size. I had a single room but with a double bed. The rooms just need a bit of attention and tidying. They have a lovely garden and a roof terrace with views out to the sea. Overall a fairly comfortable stay.

Very happy
Really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Staff were so helpful and went beyond their duty. Good location so close to main attractions and close to tram line to get around. Overall pleased and will definately stay here again if visiting Istanbul

Beautiful place to stay and incredible staff
The room was just as it was described on the website, a good deal for the price and a view of the sea. The biggest take away for us was the helpfulness of the staff. The night we arrived, we left a jacket in the taxi. It was a nice jacket, expensive and a gift from family. We thought it lost. The front desk guys went out of their way to look up the taxi ID number on the security footage, call a friend who worked with the company at the airport, and arrange it to be returned to us. The breakfast was a good Turkish breakfast buffet in a cozy rooftop terrace.

Great location! The positive was that they helped me track down my phone after leaving it in the airport transport vehicle! Other than than that we thought service was average. We thought the bed was extremely hard and the shower head didn't work properly. Not a bad experience, just average.

Nice hotel with terrace that has a sea view
This hotel is not fancy but its clean, quiet and close to all the main sites. Its 5 minutes walk from blue mosque. The breakfast is also very basic but it didnt matter too much. The terrace is quite small but has an amazing view of the sea. The rooms are air conditioned and cleaned daily. Bathroom facilities also very clean. Theres a fridge and kettle in the room. We asked for a triple room and were given with a double and single bed. Single bed matress was awful but they changed it when we asked. The staff were friendly and helped us to book taxis or to locate places we wanted to visit. Overall its fairly basic but a clean hotel located in a quiet area and close to all the main sites.

hotel tucked away on small side road. pleasant and friendly staff.a few minutes walk away from blue mosque. the hotel arranged taxi to pick us up for a day boat trip. nice clean rooms,air conditioning,selection of food for buffet breakfast.lovely place to stay. had brilliant stay. would recommend to friends and family

Convenient location
Adequate hotel in the old part of the city. Handy walk to the Hippodrome, Blue Mosque etc. Delightfully tacky though not as opulent as other comparatively priced boutique hotels I have stayed at in the area. Room getting a bit tired eg water damage on ceiling and some holes in walls. But generally good.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Stone Hotel. One of the best locations to stay in Sultan Ahmet as main attractions are walking distance. Hotel staff are friendly and the hotel is child friendly. We stayed with our 2 young children and it was stress free. There are quite a few decent places to eat in near the hotel and breakfast in the morning is very nice at the hotel itself. Plus from the hotel terrace there is a beautiful view of the sea! Highly recommended. This was our 1st time to Istanbul, when I come again I will definitely stay at the Stone Hotel as it ticks all the boxes!

Safe and Good in Istanbul
The four of us went to Istanbul. The area of the hotel was difficult to ind at first.... But with the help from the local carpet salesmen we were able to find the hotel. It is very close, walking distance to the sights of the Blue Mosque, Palace and the Grand Bazar.. Rooms a little small but nice. Clean and the breakfast was excellent. Staff ( family) was nice and friendly

stayed for two nights at Stone. Only a few streets away from metro station. Close to grand bazaar and lots of other sites. The hotel was very clean, and service was very friendly. Breakfast was very good. The view from the roof top was amazing, a great view of the city and ocean. Rooms are big and clean with a full bathtub and shower. Area is quite away from the traffic. Would definatley recommend this hotel.
