Great hotel with a great view. The staffs were ok. All the restaurants were closed for renovation.

it was a good hotel but...

Hotel location is amazing, service is good.... but.. 1. You cannot close the outdoor swimming pool in summer! 2. Rooms decorations are from the beginning of this century... but now it needs a renovation, definitely best location is Istanbul but is not worthy the amount of money paid... at least until all rooms are renovated.

wir kommen wieder und freuen uns auf den Spa Ausse

Pros: Gute Lage, sehr schöner Spa Bereich Es gab immer frisches Wasser auf den Zimmer, im Spa,... das war sehr kulant!
Cons: Ja, der Service und die Zuvorkommenheit gegenüber den Gästen. Daran kann man arbeiten.
Location: Es befindet sich direkt oberhalb des Bosporuses und man kann direkt zu den Palästen, zu Fuß zum Essen oder Shoppen gehen.
Das Hotel liegt sehr schön mit Blick auf den Bosporus. Der Concierge war sehr freundlich und half bei Restaurant und Stadtrundfahrt. Wenn Dinge schief laufen, ist das Hotel erst beim zweiten oder dritten Anlauf kooperativ. So z.B. eine zweite Stadtrundfahrt, wenn die Erste aufgrund widriger Bedingungen schief ging. Der Guide war nach dem ersten Sightseeing Objekt aufgrund seine Regenschirms, dass gleichzeitig Erkennungszeichen war und bei einem Platzregen nicht mehr ausmachbar war, verloren gegangen. Die Gäste mussten sich ein Taxi nehmen und sollten die angestrebte erneute Tour am nächsten Tag selbst bezahlen. Das konnte mit viel Zuspruch abgewendet werden. Der Abschuss war, dass uns das vom Hotel avisierte Taxi an den falschen Flughafen gefahren hat. Nur mit wehenden Fahnen und zusätzl. 80 Euro Budget, konnte der eigentliche Flug noch erreicht werden. Das Servicepersonal meist männlich (Restaurant) zeigt sich gegenüber Frauen nicht besonders höflich.

Pros: The view overlooking Bhosporous
Cons: Staff attitude.
Room overlooking Bhosporous was great. Bathroom needs makeover - old. Unimpressed with staff - on arrival at Hotel, no one came forward to help with luggage. Nespresso coffee machine in room but had to pay for capsules - Aust Dols 6.00 per capsule. A capsule cost 80 cents. Outrageous. Would not stay at the Hotel again.

Great Hotel overlooking the Bosphorus

Make no mistake, this is a great hotel. Located just above the Dolmabahce Palace, the views of the Old City are superb, as is the service. I was seriously disappointed because the West Tower, including the rooftop bar, was under construction. And still I left satisfied. The service is amazing, as is the spa---best sauna and steam room I have ever seen, plus excellent pool and fitness rooms. Room service is not cheap, but the quantity and quality are impressive. The rooms are grand, with every luxury including Bose iPod players, Nespresso machines, robes, and shoehorns. You have to take a cab to most locations, but cabs in Istanbul are cheap, and you return to your own palace. This is one of the best places I have ever stayed. And once they get the West Tower fixed up and the garden bar re-opened, it will amaze.

Discovered that tipping goes a long way in Swissotel The Bosphorus! Grumpy service became magically helpful and polite. Worth upgrading to the executive floor for the stunning views.
