Great LocationPosted Jul 6, 2015
Pros: Location and staff attention
Cons: room size and view, towels smell
Location: all main attractions are nearby and good restaurants also
The hotel view at the roof top is amazing but from the bedroom is awful. the location is perfect near the blue mosque, the Hagia Sophia and most attractions and also near the tram which is very convenient. the breakfast was good with omelet made to order and many other choices. The bedrooms and bathrooms are small if compared to same class hotels I've been before. The staff is very helpful and pleasant. Overall I say I had a good stay when you take in consideration you go to Istanbul not to be in the hotel but to see all enchanting and joyful surroundings.

Good Hotel Hard To FindPosted Jul 5, 2015
Pros: CENTRAL POSITION AND THE ROOF GARDEN
Cons: SIGNS FOR THE HOTEL
Location: EVERYTHING IS NEARBY MUSEUMS ,MOSQUES ,HIPPODROME CISTERNS ,SHOPPING AND PUBLIC TRANSPORT
good Hotel in excellent central position with beautiful Roof Garden where you have breakfast with views of Hagia Sofia to the left and Blue Mosque to your Right and the Bosporos in the backround But don't ask a taxi driver to find it because he can't. It is set back from the main street and from the side street and you cannot see the entrance until you walk down a corridor between two Restaurants. Along the main street there is a sign 'AMBASSADOR HOTEL ' But the sign is at the 5 th floor and you have to be in the know , to look up !!!

Pros: Front of house staff were excellent - Turkish delight upon leaving - everyone was very friendly and willing to help
Cons: We only stayed 1 night - unable to comment
Location: excellent location, centrally located to Blue Mosque, Haig Sofia, Tram 1min walk, restaurants out the front door, we walked to Grand Bazzar -
We arrived early, but they still managed to have a room for us - and then we were ungraded - def stay in the deluxe room if you can its more comfortable compared to the standard room. Great view on top deck, where breakfast is served -

Great trip to InstanbulPosted Jun 17, 2015
Pros: The situation, the friendly staff, the view from view roof top restaurant, the breakfast. The room was comfortable- bathroom quite small but clean.
Location: Near many main sights, lots of eating places nearby, trams right beside.
We had a fab time in this vibrant, friendly and interesting city. The Ambassador Hotel is in a great situation. We ate breakfast in the roof top restaurant gazing at the amazing view of the Blue Mosque, the Aya Sophia Mosque and the sea. Everyone was so friendly. We were surrounded by lovely restaurants and chose a different one each night- all were excellent and very reasonably priced. The staff in the hotel couldn't do enough for us and helped us to organise our on line check in and boarding cards as Turkish Airlines check in is only open 24 hours prior to take off. This saved us a long queue at the airport. We had booked a sedan to meet us and take us back to the airport.

Amazing location in heart of Sultanahmet(Historic)Posted Jun 2, 2015
Pros: From the terrace the city is at eye level - the sea coast, Sultanahmet (Blue Mosque) and Hagia Sophia herself. Breakfast, tea and bar offered on roof.
Cons: The exhaust pipes are old and have a 'sewer' smell in some areas of hotel: rooms, stair & hall at times, could be weather dependent but unpleasant
Location: Just footsteps away are Hagia Sophia, Sultanahmet, Cistern, shops, cafes, hookah bar, you can buy carpets, lamps, tea sets; street cats, Pastry!
Arriving at the Ambassador is like winding through a maze, and is best done with a driver who knows their way. The Ambassador will send a driver to meet you at the airport for a very fair fee. Approaching the hotel lobby through a pedestrian path gives you a good idea of what the market place is like - busy, colorful and full of variety! The hotel is clean, centrally located and offers every commodity, including a spa, Hamam, and the best part - is the roof terrace! From the terrace the city is at eye level - the sea coast, Sultanahmet (Blue Mosque) and Hagia Sophia herself. The terrace is a great place to sit and sip a cup of Turkish coffee or tea, breakfast is included in your room rate and served on the terrace - an amazing way to start your day! The staff are all very helpful, and shops, cafes are just footsteps away - literally! I truly can't say enough about the convenience of this hotel and the value of it's features at such a fair price. This hotel is good for anyone, rooms small but comfy; if you like to be able to walk to everything this is your place! This city is great by foot and your hotel is seriously close to most sites. Schedule a tour, which will pick you up by van to see the coast and Asian side of Istanbul - worth it to branch out also, tours offered in every language. Most Türks seem to speak English well and other languages too, Euros are also accepted as currency most places in addition to Lira. An amazing city and the Ambassador Hotel is great!
