“Horrible”
I stayed for 3 days. Most expensive breakfast in the world.65 Lira (40 usd) an average buffet.Rooms are very noise, you will hear 24 hours honk. For me , this hotel is not more than 3 star in USA standard. I will never ever stay again. SOOOOOOOOOOOO EXPENSIVE >>>>>
“very good hotel &location”
the hotel has a good location & is very comfort
“"Disappointed"”
"Disappointed" I was terribly disappointed with the hotel because I expected a 5 star hotel. I would rate this hotel at about a 3. I would only stay there again for a much lower rate. The location was ideal. It was convenient for walking, shopping, and for dining.
“Solid Hotel right on Taksim Square”
Great hotel, but don't trust the concierge for good places to eat.
“Overpriced”
This may be a 5 star hotel after the renovation is complete, but in the meantime, they should not charge the exorbitant prices when the amenities and conditions are 3 star (no conditioner, bad hairdryer, small rooms, leaky toilets). It can also be a bit noisy if you face the street, even on the 11th floor. The location is great for shopping and food. It is a bit far from the city sights, a 15 min walk downhill (and uphill on the way back). You could take the tram however. The views were great, and it was one of the few places with an outdoor pool, although the pool was not heated. Would recommend checking out other hotels in the area and going up to the roofbar for a drink (just not liquor- it was 30TL!). Also, some staff is more helpful than others but they will not recommend anything that is not fully tourist sanctioned (and expensive).
“Marmara Taksim”
My stay was too noisy but well situated. Once the renovations are finished to see if any better. Partically in the heart of one of the areas where things happen the whole time. Good to be able to step out of the hotel and find yourself in a lively area. Istiklal just round the corner and very exciting to visit. Many typical local restaurants, piano and live music bars.... The metro is also very close by.
“Love the Marmara”
The staff was amazingly attentive at the Marmara. They did everything they could to make sure our visit was perfect. Outstanding. The hotel is in a VERY busy area, right on Taksim square, and the hotel is bustling as well. The location was okay, but many of the sights we wanted to see were elsewhere. However, the tram and the subway made it easy! The hotel is older and the decor is more classic, but the perks more than made up for it. Comfy bedding, slippers, bathrobes, fruit in the room...So, yes, I highly recommend the Marmara Taksim!!
“Nice hotel but very noisy”
The hotel in general was nice but I faced two problems: the first is that most of the power plugs in the room were not working so I had to put my laptop in an inconvenient location to keep it alive, the second is the loud noise coming from the surrounding area, I think the hotel management should work more on sound isolation of the rooms. Internet service is good and free but the room was not fully covered by the WiFi signal so again I had to move around to get connected.
“Not Impressed”
Construction continued 24hrs a day, jack hammer all through the night and we could hear and feel it on the 10th floor. Not nearly of a hotel as it seems on the website. Good location though.
“Alright but not worth the money”
Frankly guys, for the money you pay for this hotel you only get a decent location. Everything else in this hotel is average at best.
