Don't be put off by the hotel namePosted Jul 13, 2014
Pros: comfortable rooms, good location
I was initially put off by the hotel name ("Titanic" doesn't conjure up security!) But that impression was mis-placed: the hotel is very pleasant, the hotel staff are generally helpful and speak reasonably good English, and the location is good. You can get to the Taksim square metro/funicular stop in 5 minutes, and the are south of the square is worth exploring on foot.

Great location, clean, bed uncomfortablePosted Jul 9, 2014
Staff were helpful, room was clean and excellent location in Taksim close to the main streets but quiet and quieter area which is better. Bed was too hard which is so important for a good nights sleep.

IstanbulPosted May 23, 2014 on Hotels.com
My only disappointment was the room was facing a wall so no view and very little sun. Also breakfast was not included. Otherwise it was great. Loved the little restaurants down the side street.

I have stayed at the Titanic previously and really enjoyed my stay. This time was completely different. Upon arrival the person at the check-in desk refused to answer any questions, or acknowledge that I was there. I reserved a non-smoking "premium" room, or whatever their classification is, and was sent to a room with no window. After asking to switch, they sent me to a smoking room with a twin bed. I complained about the smoking smell and was told "what do you want me to do about it?" Knowing the question was rhetorical I did nothing. Upon leaving the man at the desk literally chased me into my taxi for some 5 lira ($2.50) charge for something I did not have from the minibar. I visit Istanbul often for work and will never stay at Titanic again.

Well placed hotel, centrally located but quietPosted Feb 11, 2014
Pros: It was quiet, clean, very central (for Taksim Square area of Istanbul), ideal for bus journey to/from the airport. Nice, very helpful staff
Cons: Happy with everything, given that it is a city centre location
Location: Ideal spot to base your holiday from. Easy to find (given how complicated Istanbul is!) Very centrally located for shopping and sightseeing
Very good location for a 'central' hotel. Easy to find just off Taksim Square. Nice staff, all very clean and smart for a city centre hotel at very reasonable rates and surprisingly quiet. Would definitely recommend for a short break. I booked a room and breakfast only - 3 nights, and ideally situated for the very efficient and very affordable bus to and from Attaturk Airport (beware expensive taxis!). Just a stone's throw away from the (unmarked) bus stop.
