Convenient location near the must-see Hagia Sofia.

Posted Jun 12, 2015
Pros: Excellent, helpful staff who gave personal service. Located near the main sights but on a quiet street. Variety of breakfast choices. Good showers.
Cons: Better towels. If you order their taxi from the airport online, make sure you get a confirmation. Check if your room has a view and if terrace is open
Location: Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, Grand and Spice Bazaars, Basilica Cisterns, Mosaic Museum, Hocapasa Theatre, Turkish Arts and Culture Museum
Good location to see the main sights in the old city. We walked easily to most places but the hotel is also good to catch the tram to reach other locations on the other side of the Bosphorous. The street parallel to the hotel's street is packed with places to eat and drink, touristy but fun. The hard-working staff in the hotel are super helpful for the first-time visitor, always friendly and patient with any questions you may have. Rooms are air-conditioned and bathrooms have good showers, but I wouldn't rate this a top 4 star. Towels had seen better days. However, we did opt for a standard room which I think was the smallest with no view at all from the windows so it was dark, and it was sometimes street noisy. I was disappointed that the roof terrace wasn't open because the views would have been good. There are many places nearby that offered terrace views where we often had a evening drink. Breakfast included was fresh and plentiful with help-yourself honey dripping from a standing honeycomb!

Pros: Staff were very friendly and helpful with local knowledge and booking tours etc
Location: Great location. Close to many significant sites.
Had a great time in Istanbul. Hotel was in a terrific location. Our 4th floor room gave us views over the water which was lovely morning and night.

hôtel très bien situé, proche des sites

Posted May 31, 2015

Great location, delightful hotel

Posted May 18, 2015
Pros: The staff were lovely - helpful, pleasant and cheery. The location was perfect - easy walking distance to Sultanahmet sights, Grand Bazaar, Topkapi.
Cons: The small size of the room was only an issue in that some more storage space for clothes and table-top items would have been welcomed.
Location: Fabulous location for sightseeing, restaurants, shopping, bars, public transport, experiencing and enjoying Istanbul!
I was disappointed to learn on arrival that the roof-top terrace was undergoing renovation, as I had booked this hotel specifically for breakfast with a view! However, in all other respects we found this hotel very satisfactory and would definitely return. We were offed a choice of rooms, one in the main hotel and the other in the nearby annexe. We opted for the annexe - noisier, overlooking a vibrant street, but great fun to experience the street life (and I'd brought ear-plugs and an eye mask, so no issues with sleeping). Breakfast was in the main hotel and was a buffet arrangement, so we were able to choose what we wanted from the ample range of food on offer. All in all, it was a great experience!

Little hotel that is close to Taksim Square

Posted Apr 29, 2015
Pros: Nothing ostentatious, so it is very well priced, handy to a whole range of restaurants and Taksim Square.
Location: Taksim Square, along with all the mosques around it (this is also where most tour buses leave from). Also a short walk to the Grand Bazaar.
This is a lovely little hotel. Rooms are standard, well appointed and comfortable beds. The staff are friendly day and night.

hôtel très bien situé

Posted Apr 1, 2015
