Quality near major AirportPosted Feb 16, 2014
Pros: This is a businessman's/travelers' hotel; if you are a government employee on public dole looking for ultimate luxury, go elsewhere.
Cons: High turn-over hotel, needs replacement for worn carpets more regularly; clean -- yes, but sometimes not so pretty.
Location: Five minutes to Istanbul Ataturk IAP. Two minute walk to modern train service to downtown. If you don't know Istanbul, think London/New York/Paris.
Easy accommodation for very late arrival. Prompt reaction to email requests. Staff quick and expert, from Desk to Bellhop to room service. Buffet breakfast very ample, well presented. Used every year for more than 5 years. Add to this shuttle service to major city International Air Port most hours; cheap taxi fare for short ride otherwise.

I wouldn't stay here...Posted Dec 16, 2013
Pros: The only thing was, that bell man rushed over to press the elevator button because my hands were all full.
Cons: Everything could be improved
Location: Close by the airport, but there are many other hotels to choose that are just as close.
The hotel seems decent upon arrive, with a average lobby. Note that the free shuttle only runs about every 30mins, if the guy isn't smoking cigarettes. It seemed to be a problem for the front desk man to set a wake-up call and told me to press 0 in my room; when I pressed zero, she didn't really understand English. So I had to walk back to the front desk, only to have them send my wakeup call 35mins after the time I asked for. There isn't WIFI, only a cable connection if you bring your laptop. The rooms have a old moldy smell. The shower had mold on the walls and on all corners on the top of the tub. I would totally save your money, and book somewhere else.

Convenient to Airport and MetroPosted Dec 15, 2013
Pros: Breakfast was good, location was convenient, free shuttle from airport to hotel, from hotel to the Center and back, staff were nice and helpful.
Cons: Room #1102 is a very good room, except the window doesn't shut completely so you hear loud wind whistling all night long.
Location: I used the metro to go to the attractions, restaurants. I mainly used this hotel for convenience to the airport and early flight out.

Mediocre hotel, not 5 star by any measure.Posted Dec 3, 2013
We waited for over 2 1/4 hours at the airport for the shuttle before just getting a taxi. There was a long line at check in, and no information provided about the hotel or services by the clerk. The room itself looked nice but missing little touches like tissues. One of the walls in the bathroom was missing a piece of baseboard and the wallpaper was frayed. The instructions for wireless were complicated and useless and the wired internet service required a password that should have been provided upon check in. The coffee area in the lobby was outrageously expensive charging $9 for a machine produced cup of coffee and shot glass of tea. While we were drinking this, the staff door banged every time it was used.

Met very nice people there!Posted Nov 30, 2013
Pros: The nice woman (a teacher) who works at the gift shop. She was very kind to my granddaughter, teaching her some Turkish.
Cons: Instructions for turning on the lights should be printed on the hotel room key.
Location: Very near airport. Free shuttle. Tours available to anywhere you want.
The highlight of the stay at WOW was meeting the nice woman (a teacher) who works at the gift shop. She was very kind to my granddaughter, teaching her a little Turkish and helping her find gifts to bring home for friends that fit her limited budget. The special time she spent with her was greatly appreciated and left us with a warm feeling for the Turkish. Another staff member near the front desk took the time to map out directions for us so we could see a little of the area during our layover. He was very courteous and was obviously trying to be helpful. The room was comfortable for an overnight stay, convenient and well kept.

Two adjacent hotels, WoW Airport and WoW IstanbulPosted Nov 25, 2013
Cons: Additional WoW hotels elsewhere!
Location: Take the rail line to the last station (Aksaray) and keeping walking forward. You will soon reach the historic center of Istanbul
These two hotels are almost identical but one is ranked 5 star and the other 4 star only because of conference facilities in one (Wow Istanbul). Hotels are only a 5 minute drive from the airport and accessible by hotel shuttle (every half hour), taxi (cost 8 TL or $4.00) and the railway (one station from airport - cost 3 TL or $1.50). We stayed in this hotel several times and loved it. Rail system serving the airport has a station (World Trade Center) only about 250 m away. Try the Buffet breakfast. Somewhere between 4-1/2 and 5 stars.

Close to airportPosted Nov 22, 2013
Pros: Close proximity to airport.
Cons: No Wifi in the rooms. Poor internet connection in the lobby. No shuttle if you arrive late in the evening.
Location: Metro station nearby in walking distance.
Convenient location,if staying overnight. Otherwise better choice in Grand Bazaar area, nicer and lower cost.
