Location is excellent...minutes to eminonu, grand bazar, aya sofya...Not the greatest of breakfast. Staff very friendly and try to help as much as possible.

Good Location, Good Price, Clean and Cute Hotel..
Pros: Friendly staff, very clean rooms, very cute colour combination in the rooms, superb breakfast area with Bosphorus bridge view. Cons: Washroom Door Knob was broken in my room, the lane leading to the hotel is closed in the daytime so if you are checking in or checking out during that time you will have to carry your bags all the way to the main road where your taxi is waiting (just a 2 min walk but if you have a lot of luggage on you then it becomes tiring)

It's good because location in Serkeci but not excellent due to the distance 500 meter from center and road to hotel is not easy especially for old people and the breakfast is poor . Other things are very good friendly staff , clean and big rooms .

Very friendly staff. Room was located in the basement and therefore had no window to outside. Basic furniture. Room was clean and had lot of space, but had not realy charme. A better light for reading in bed would have been nice. 5 minutes walking to tram station, 10 minutes walking to Hagia Sophia. Breakfast was OK. Highly recommendable to budget travellers. Best possible price-performance - unschlagbares Preis/Leistungs-Verhältnis :-). I would book it again.

Great location to everything. 10 Minute walking distance from city center, Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque and other museums . Walking distance to the Metro. Staff is wonderful. They help with other accommodations such as day trips and how to get to special attractions. Rooms were clean and well kept. Breakfast was very nice with a view of Istanbul's bay that will take your breath away.

It’s a such a nice place . We stayed for 4 nights and everything was perfect . In first day even though check in time was at 2 p.m but I came earlier they allowed us to enter . The staff was nice . They speak several language plus they can give you some advices about surrounding area. The room was nice and clean .

Value for money, good location, great staff
WE have been to IStanbul many times and love Sirkeci area where this hotel is located at. Close to Marmaray Station, and even Sirkeci tram station. Easy to get to anywhere by public transport. The area is within where the locals shop and live, so it is quite authentic. So, great local eateries at affordable price, easy shopping at Misir Carsisi and the market outside it, close to Balik Ekmek experience (very expensive now). At the same time it is very close to Sultanahmet area, and Taksim is not that far away too. The hotel is quite new for Istanbul standard - it has elevators!!. The decor is modern, the place is airy, the staff is really good, attentive and willing to help. However, some of the area needs TLC - e.g. water pipe in my bathroom needs changing. Free breakfast is welcome. It used to be free in most of the hotel in Istanbul, but nowadays are quite scarce. Hence, we were very happy to have this feature in this hotel. The selection is not wide, or not as wide as how we were used to. However, take into account that Turkiye now is having high inflation, so I appreciate this gesture. Perhaps, this hotel can improve by providing some fresh fruits which are abundant in Turkiye. Reasonable late check out can be entertain if the hotel is not busy. You can leave your luggage behind after checkout. We will be happy to stay there again.

Quiet, clean, central and on a hill
this is a surprisingly well located hotel on a hill. When we arrived we thought we were in a back deserted street. The road is very quiet and regulated because of a school that is located in the street., but this makes it less noisy and because it is on a hill we had breakfast on the rooftop overlooking the roofs and the city. Breakfast was more than just the usual Turkish breakfast. The rooftop was open from 8:00 till 23:00. Our room was big with a small fridge and a kettle. Very clean and clean every day as well. There is a lift. There are a few lovely art shops nearby and a cheap place to eat just down the street. A small Migros is very near.

Nice hotel for a short stay.
This hotel was really good for the price we paid for 3 days. The staff were friendly and supportive. It is in a good location as local mosque is nearby and all the tourist places like sultan ahmet mosque, hagia sophia etc are a 10-15 mins walk or a short train journey. Plenty of food places to choose from. Only downside was that the free breakfast was not nice. There was hardly any options to choose from. Would have been nice to have a few different types of food. If that can be improved then this hotel is perfect for a short stay.

The receptionists are supportive and helpful. the breakfast is nice but very basic as there is no water or soft drink. things like cucumber, tomato, ect left open they should cover it. the room is clean and comfortable but we smell damp especially when you get into the lift, but over overall is lokay for the money we have paid. It is a nice hotel but it needs a bit of touches.

Hotel was great and centrally located from station and also from local heritage i.e. blue mosque and museum. The room size was big and very clean no complaints. The only issue is that this place located at a height so it is a bit of hard walk around places. The breakfast is very basic with very few choices and nothing exciting for kids and adults too. Overall great

Good location
It's is a simple place, but the room is comfortable with a great matters and shower and clean. Breakfast is decent enough if not a lot of choice. But if weather allows you can take it on a little roof terrace. Friendly stuff. Good location for old town and the sights, don't be put off the location as its on a quiet side street. Only one point - hotel and room, at first, smelled strange. Not sure if a bit musty or maybe overuse of a cleaner like bleach. Did not disappoint given what I had paid.

Nice hotel in good location, need some maintenance in the rooms (detached wallpaper, shoe prints on the walls, parquet not perfect, part of shower box missing). Good breakfast,free Wi-Fi, kind personnel, some with poor English.

Perfect location, great food, friendly staff
This hotel was 5 min walk from all of the major sites. The staff was incredibly helpful and the free breakfast buffet was surprisingly delicious (best part of the hotel). Lots of choices for the breakfast, especially because I eat gluten and dairy free food. Also had free coffee/tea/juices 24/7. The only downside was that the furnishings were little old, the pillow cases had a few holes but the hotel was clean and offered great value for the amout we paid. I would definitely come again.

Good location in old city
Very good location in old city. Walking distance to all major attractions. It was renovated but they should maintain it better (a/c remote with no battery cover, moving water pipe,...) could be cleaner. Breakfast was very good. Beautiful view from rooftop terrace.

Great breakfast, but hotel needs repairs.
We had a one night stay at the Yazar Hotel at the end of our trip to Turkey. The hotel is well located between the Grand Bazaar and the Sultanahmet district and was more affordable than our hotel at the beginning of the trip in Sultanahmet. The room was clean and decorated in a more modern Euro style, but we had issues with things breaking on us. First when I was washing my face in the bathroom sink, I heard a splashing sound only to discover that the plumbing on the faucet had come undone and the drain water was dumping directly into the cabinet below. If that weren't enough, when my niece was taking a shower she was locked in the bathroom when the doorknob came off. Also the shower door was off the track so it took effort to close the shower door. On a positive note, the staff was friendly, and the breakfast was very good.

What a wonderful stay at Yazar hotel! The staff are incredibly friendly, hospitable. They make you feel very much at home and are accommodating to your needs. The rooms and the hotel are beautiful and very presentable. Clean and very comfortable. Its located right nearby a train station making travel easy, and within walking distance for many of the main attractions

Excellent location.
I stayed in hotel yazar along with my family for 6 days. The location was excellent as most of the touristy places (grand bazar, blue mosque and haga sophia) were at the walking distance. Hotel staff was always there to help. They helped me alot with the directions and suggested me good turkish food to try. Rooms are neat and clean and have wifi available in them. Breakfast was also good. I would definitely choose this hotel again for my next visit.

Really enjoyed my stay there. We were there for 3 days and had a comfortable stay at the Yazar. The staffs were extremely helpful and polite and was always available for any questions. Extremely satisfied plus the location was exactly 10mins away from Spice Bazaar which was where i would go. The walk to Spice Bazaar was beautiful if took the longer path by the sea. Overall I am very happy with this hotel and would recommend to anyone. There were also some delicious restaurants nearby so food was not a problem at all. The breakfast could have been a little better..

The hotel was excellent. Very clean and the staff was amazing. I would like to thank them for their help in providing the information about the city. Great service for the breakfast and the housekeeping. The hotel was close to two grocery stores and to the market area where restaurants were located.The rooms were spacious and the fridge was useful.

I am delighted with my experience at Yazar Hotel. The rooms are spacious and clean, the staff extremely helpful and friendly. They were even able to accommodate us with an early check-in (5.30am) for no extra charge!

Overall was nice, good location and staff were ok. On my last day a woman knocked on my door asking me to leave in a very rude way, it was 11am and checkout is at 12am - I was still organizing my things. She should be explained that her guests shouldn't be treated that way.

We only stayed here for one night - the staff were very helpful and the breakfast was very good too. The only downside was that our tv wasn't working and our room was very close to the lobby so we heard a lot of noise from the breakfast in the lobby.

I stayed for one night. The room was clean and spacious. The soundproofing was terrible. I stayed in a roon on the second floor and could hear noise from the lobby very well. Also the curtain in the room was not thick enough and filtered light from outside, which caused trouble for me to go to sleep. The phone in the room was not working, and the faucet in the bathroom wsa wobbly and I had to hold it with one hand to turn it on. The location was fine (close to attractions but some distance from tram stops), but both cab drivers I used didn't know where the hotel was and had to call the hotel to find it. The hotel is located on oneway street, and the exiting end was blocked with low-rising pillars, and cars had to back up to get out. The hotel staff was OK (one guy was friendly, the other not).

Excellent Location in Istanbul.
Hotel was clean and the staff was willing to help with everything. Room was large for European Hotels. The hotel was close, within walking distance of all major tourist sites. I would definitely return here if I visit Istanbul again.
