"Service was above and beyond..."
The location and the staff make the Sirkeci Mansion a very special hotel. Located in the old part of the city right next the walls of Gulhane park Sirkeci offers all of the conveniences of a multi star hotel in one of the most desirable parts of the city. Breakfast is great offering both traditional Turkish and customary western items. But it is the activities offered by the hotel that make it a stand out. In addition to seeing things that most people would not have access to as tourists, they opportunities to meet other guests some of whom we made plans with after meeting on a tour. The staff enjoys working at the hotel and working together and it shows in the way they treat their guests!

"Terrific Staff, very pleasant and very helpful."
Our experience was excellent. Taxi's don't seem to be aware of the hotel and it's location. Our only complaint was the internet, but apparently it is being corrected. I was put in a position that I don't like to be put in and that was that I had to advise the staff that the internet was not working in our room. Internet is very common now, like a telephone and should be provided in every room. It was upsetting to me that I had to say something. The staff took great care of the situation but I felt I shouldn't have had to say anything in the first place.

"Quality Hotel"
Surprisingly excellent Hotel, despite it's offputting surroundings. Rooms were of Superb standard and since I had a standard room , makes me wonder what the Superior and Executive rooms would offer. Had breakfast which was extensive a very good quality, and also had room service dinner which I could not fault. I

"Great views over the Bosphorus"
Excellent staff at Reception and in the Executive Lounge. Very helpful and attentive. Our trip to Istanbul was to celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary, so we upgraded to an 8th floor room with views over the Bosphorus. The complimentary champagne and cake was a nice touch from Hilton. The room was nice, and the views were fantastic. The location, being close to Taksim Square, makes it easy to take the Big Bus for sightseeing and shopping on Istiklal Street. The Bosphorus evening cruise, which includes dinner and traditional Turkish dancing, among other entertainment, was tops.

"Full of character"
First time in Istanbul, I was a little nervous, but the Pera Palace immediately put me at my ease. The transport was waiting for us, a roomy six seater, which arrived in plenty of time for the return journey too. A warm welcome at the hotel, and we had been given rooms at the back of the hotel with views accross the city. The staff were charming, the concierge especially knowledgeable and helpful. Our request for extra pillows was met, large bathroom with shower and bath, comfortable bed.

"splendid location and splendid staff"
Seven Hills Hotel is in the centre of the old city, right between the Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque. We had a suite overlooking the Sea of Marmara and the Aya Sofya. The staff was delightful, thoughtful, and generous. when a taxi i had ordered couldn't make it right to the hotel on account of road work, the concierge walked with me to where the taxi was parked. And did i mention that breakfast is excellent and the views in the dining room are among the best in Istabul.

    A tale of two continents

Istanbul is the only metropolis in the world that lies on two continents. With one foot in Europe and the other in Asia, it's no wonder the city is so cosmopolitan and culturally diverse. As the former capital of the Roman, Byzantine, Latin, and Ottoman Empires, Istanbul has an expansive history that spans many centuries. Throughout its different incarnations, Istanbul has been called both Byzantium and Constantinople. Whichever name you know it by, Istanbul is simply incredible and worth booking flights to Istanbul to discover Turkish hospitality first hand.

You will be well cared for – whether you stay at Istanbul resorts, look to rekindle at romantic hotels in Istanbul, or just want to stay at the best hotels in Istanbul, you will find cheap hotel deals in Istanbul that will have you coming back again and again to discover this city’s many sides.

While many of the most visited sightseeing attractions reside on the European side of Istanbul, including the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia, and Topkapi Palace, the more residential Asian (or Anatolian) side also has its own unique charms. Be sure to explore the beauty of both sides offering a plethora of things to do in Istanbul to make your trip complete and visit the outskirts via renting a car in Istanbul to get a well-balanced picture of this part of Turkey.

From the Blue Mosque to the Grand Bazaar

One of Istanbul's nicknames is the 'the city on seven hills.' Like Rome, the Istanbul of antiquity was built on seven hills, each with religious monuments, in both the Byzantine and Ottoman periods.

Today you will still find many stunning sights on these hills. Topkapi Palace was the former royal residence of the Ottoman sultans. Set by the sea and overlooking the Golden Horn, today's Topkapi Palace is open to the public as a museum, with four primary courtyards and a wealth of treasures. Wander through leafy gardens and airy libraries, an imperial harem, and impressive gilded pavilions.

Head for another hill and the Grand Bazaar awaits you. One of the largest covered markets in the world, featuring more than 6,000 stalls, the Grand Bazaar is a mecca for shoppers. Jewelry, spices, carpets, and pottery combine to create a seemingly endless range of tempting items. Test your bargaining skills or just enjoy a stroll around the structure itself, which seems almost like a palace.

Side by side are two other must-see Istanbul sights. The beautiful mosaics and massive dome of the 1400-year old Hagia Sofia leave visitors mesmerized. Equally extravagant is the working Blue Mosque whose six slender minarets are one of the most famous components of Istanbul's skyline.

    Illuminated Istanbul

Istanbul is one of the oldest cities in the world and with such a long and rich legacy it would be easy to tour only the city's historical wonders. However, present-day Istanbul is one of the most vibrant, sophisticated, and cosmopolitan places on earth and no visit would be complete without experiencing what the modern city has to offer. Book your stay at hotels in Istanbul, Turkey to experience the city’s many facets. An evening out could include cuisine from all corners of the world (though be sure to try the sumptuous mezzes and kebabs), cocktails at an elegant bar on the Bosphorus, and clubbing until dawn. Istanbul at night is a beautiful sight. Retire to one of the many Istanbul hotels after a full day – and maybe even a very late night – out to see more sight the next day.

Take some time for leisure, too, like a traditional Turkish bath or a cruise from Istanbul down the Bosphorus Strait. One visit to Istanbul could never suffice and how could it? There are two continents to explore! So slow down and sip some fragrant mint tea, while you plan your next Istanbul vacation. Just rest assured that you are always welcome at hotels in Istanbul.
