Great Location but average facilitiesPosted Sep 25, 2012
Cons: Bar and reception area
The hotel is in a wonderful location , just 5 minutes by ferry ( every 30mins) from Porec town centre. The island has some wonderful beaches with ladder access into the clear blue med. The hotel itself is a bit "tired" and needs modernising. Some staff are very helpful but others seemed bored, perhaps because it was mid-September , near the end of their season. The food was good but limited for vegetarians. The bar was poor, no atmosphere and poor service. The swimming pool was clean, comfortable to sit around but rather cold to swim in. We will go back to Croatia but not to the Fortuna Hotel.

A stunning location and great servicePosted Jul 25, 2012
The location of this hotel is wonderful. The town of Porec is pretty and interesting. The sea is clean, the swimming marvellous. Lunches in the bar are very reasonable - large range of big salads and nice looking pizza under £5. Good choice of food. The two major problems are the lack of air conditioning - Just DON'T GO IN JULY/AUG - and the noise from the clubs on the mainland, which seem to finish at 5am most nights. Of course, if you weren't boiling hot, you wouldn't be awake to hear them. We dragged our mattress out onto the balcony and had cold showers. Noisier, but cooler. Having said that, I would definitely go again, but out of season.

Good place to stay in Porec, Croatia. An only one problem: no air conditioner!

Hotel Fortina island PorecPosted Aug 15, 2010 on Hotels.com
Hotel service was very good. Rooms were clean, towels were changed daily, although room needs refurbishing. There was a very good selection at breakfast and dinner but drinks were not included, and they were quite expensive. Sunbeds were free in the pool area but you had to rent sunbeds and umbrella on the coast. It was a bit loud at night from the bars on the other side of the island. We had a very good view of the sea from our balcony. No airconditioning Very good transport service from the parking area to the boat and from the boat to hotel. These were all included in the hotel price

Hotel FortunaPosted Aug 6, 2007
Hotel Fortuna is set in a great location i.e its own island - the hotel itself does need a little bit of an upgrade, but does have all the usual facilities and seems to be popular with families. Be warned the bar shuts at midnight and there is no where else to go.
