There is no separation between the common areas in the ground floor and the rooms, so in the morning, in the lower floors, you get all the noise of the kitchen and breakfast areas as well as any loud coversation in the entrance hall. A sauna service is offered in the marketing information. But to use it you have to book a time slot in advance. Unless you like to plan your holidays in substantial detail you will end up missing out on this facility as you will run late or you might change your mind. If you want to use it randomly you will find that it is never available at the time you want. Beware when travelling alone, you might be put in room 107, it's a room at the back with no view or light and close to the kitchen with its attendent noise. The staff, however, is very friendly tries to be as accommodating as the hotel system allows. The roof terrace is wonderful.

A great renovation of an old buiildingPosted May 18, 2012 on Hotels.com
The staff were excellent. The breakfast was superb. The big appeal is the decor made up of many antiques.

In the Old TownPosted Oct 15, 2011
One of only two hotels in the old town. That alone makes the hotel work it. But understand that it is not easy to find, and you can not drive your car there. Find a place to park, walk to the hotel, and they will shuttle you to a parking lot and then back when you leave. You need time for all this, but we did not find overly combersome. Hotel itself is spectacularly situated and we had a room with water view (between buildings) that was unexpected. The hotel is a heritage site and that is well deserved. No elevator but if you are unable to carry what you brought, they will gladly carry for you. One of the high lights on our trip from a hotel perspective.
