“Beautiful, modern hotel. Please don't let your door slam shut.”

Everything about this hotel was fantastic. It looked brand new, modern, clean, etc. Staff was friendly and the location was great. The room was very comfortable and had everything we needed. My only complaint is that the hotel room doors are VERY loud when they slam shut. My wife and I were looking forward to sleeping past 5:30am for the first time in over 3 years but unfortunately, this didn't happen. We are both pretty heavy sleepers but we were woken up a number of times in the middle of the night and in the early morning hours when people would enter/exit their rooms. The doors close on their own but they would slam shut so loud that you could hear the doors from all the way down the hallway. Please, be courteous to your fellow guests and hold the door when it closes...don't let it slam.

“Cortica Weekend 2011”

This hotel was great...clean, friendly and just a 5 minute cab ride to downtown Cortland.

“nice clean hotel”

after reading reviews for other hotels in the area that included word like "yuk, bedbugs, fleas and terrible" we were a little scared to try this hotel. It was clean, friendly and very close to Cortland & Route 81. I would highly recommend it.

“Great hotel for a family visiting Cornell”

We stayed here for one night and visited Cornell (< 30 minutes away) the next morning. The room/bed are clean and comfortable. Breakfast is complimentary which is great. The only problem is the noise that other reviewers already mentioned.

“Like a home away from home”

This hotel was extremely clean and decorated very nice. The staff made us feel like we were friends. We had stayed there two weeks before and were anxious to return. I am sure that we will stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Cortland, N.Y again.

“You'll be very satisfied!”

The phone was ringing off the hook when we checked in, but the concierge didn't let that delay our time a bit. I just mentioned I liked decaffeinated coffee and he quickly ran into the back office and gave me 2 packets of decaf! Everything was just great in the room. Clearly it had recently been remodeled with granite sinktop and new rug. Everything on the bed is easily laundered, so there was no fear of hidden bacteria or bugs. And, yes, the beds were very comfortable. Breakfast included pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon and lots of other decent choices.

“New is good”

New hotel that is very clean and comfortable. Great continental breakfast in the morning with food that is fresh and regularly restocked and refreshed. Service at front desk was not as welcoming as i often see, but they were not rude. Plentiful parking right off the highway and easy to find. Would definitley stay there again if I am in the area.

“clean and cofortable”

We had a pleasant stay in this hotel. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Front-desk staff are friendly. Location was pretty good, 20 minutes to Cornell University, where we needed to go. Only disappointment was the breakfast, rather lack of imagination.

“Perfect for Overnight”

We stayed here because we were doing college tours in Ithaca and all of the Ithaca hotels were sold out. The front desk staff were very friendly and couldn't be nicer. The hotel was very clean and they did a very nice job with the breakfast (which is included in reasonable price.) It is has small fitness center and pool. It is not a "fancy" hotel - but it was perfect for our stay. Ithaca was less that 30 minutes away.

“Good location if you're visiting SUNY”

Several Cortland hotels are gathered together right of I81 at this intersection. It's reasonably close to the small downtown area and SUNY. I stayed here during a college visit with my wife and daughter. It's fine--nothing special, but right in line with the Holiday Inn Express brand.
