College Bound

Posted Aug 19, 2014
Pros: Very homey feel. Everything you need
Cons: nothing
Location: There wasn't much to do very close; however the downtown Ithaca is only10 mins away. You could do a little shopping and the Applebee's was nice.
I brought my daughter and my mother up for college orientation. The set up of the King Suite was just perfect. I do wish that they had slightly cheaper rates or at the least Ithaca discounts since the hotel is so close to the school. There are a lot of activities college new by parents have to attend.

Great value, very comfortable

We liked this place a lot. Our main floor room was spotless, with a lovely little kitchenette and a very clean bathroom. Windows open for fresh air! With a kitchenette you can manage some meals in your room, which is great for families. There is also a breakfast buffet with different items each morning, and on weeknights they were also offering a light complimentary dinner service - which was just the thing for a family with small children who were exhausted by the end of the day. The location of it is a bit isolated but there is a mall next door with a drug store, coffee shop, etc, and a grocery store near by. We'd definitely stay here again!

Perfect what what I needed it to be

Posted Aug 11, 2014
Pros: The staff was friendly, the rooms were spacious and clean and the bed was SUPER comfortable.
I needed a nice, comfy place to stay for the night while I was in Ithaca and Homewood Suites was perfect. Not overly fancy but super comfortable, spacious and clean. The room rates were fair and the location, while not picturesque, was great too. Not right in Ithaca, but only a couple miles away.

Positives: - Large room with kitchenette - Indoor heated pool and hot tub - Free breakfast with hot and cold options - Complimentary hot drinks in lobby - 24 hour convenience store with food, drink and toiletries - Choice of DVDs to rent (available in the convenience store) - Free WiFi - Hotel shuttle bus Negatives: - Small bathroom - Not walking distance to Cornell (but can get there easily by car - plenty of parking available)

4 days away from the kids

Posted May 7, 2014 on Hotels.com
This was a 31 anniversary weekend away from the kids. We enjoyed our stay greatly. The hotel gave us a cake and card. We enjoyed doing a wine and herb tour over the weekend around Lake Cayuga and the hotel was nice to come home to each night. Bathrooms were clean and the beds comfortable. The pool and hot tub were well cared for too. The staff was very pleasant and the breakfast buffet each morning was delicious.

It's clean, large apt like rooms with free real breakfast. Dinner is served too but could not figure out what it was until I read the menu - not a good sign. Once you have paid for the room, there is nothing more on your bill. No internet charge, parking etc. heated indoor pool, exercise room and business center too.
