Cons: The breakfast and comfort of the bed
It was a good experience. the location was convenient to most places and easy to access and staff were nice and welcoming. The food during breakfast could be improved though.

Shopping Center Hotel

Pros: The close proximity to the highway.
Cons: Read about the experience above.
Location: Get a map, of which the front desk did not have or offer. Getting around this college city takes a lot to get used to and signage is poor.
The room we were in reeked of smoke so much I had to wash all my clothes when we got home. The comforter was confusing and pieced together. The kitchenette floors were very sticky. The breakfast food was barely edible. The eggs are powdered and inedible. The front desk staff was "just there". The location of this hotel is just bizarre - around the back of a 1970's indoor/outdoor strip mall ring road and beside a car dealership.

clean, comfortable hotel near Cornell

Posted Sep 15, 2014
Pros: The breakfast was plentiful and had a nice variety. The breakfast area was more spacious than in many similar hotels. Plenty of room in the suite.
Cons: A slightly firmer bed
Location: Just a few miles from Cornell's North Campus, and easy access to downtown via Route 13.
The Homewood Suites in Ithaca was clean and comfortable, with an attentive staff. The room was very nice, with my only quibble being I would have liked a slightly firmer bed. But overall the room was spacious with modern furnishings, and plenty of space. The bathroom was spotless. In addition to the King sized bed and the sofa bed, we asked for a cot, which was provided to us promptly and cheerfully. The cot was in a wood frame and more substantial than a typical cot.

Clean, modern rooms with excellent facilities

Posted Aug 26, 2014
Pros: The hotel was very clean and modern. Room facilities are excellent for the price.
Cons: The walls are a little "thin." I could hear a bit of noise from an adjacent room.
Location: The immediate area is quite mundane, but not a big deal. For visitors to Ithaca, this place is an very good value.
I stayed one night during a vacation trip to the Finger Lakes region. I chose this hotel because pricing was more favorable than other comparable hotels in the Ithaca area, which tend to be expensive, particularly as you get closer to the Cornell campus. The hotel is just 2-3 miles from Cornell and a bit further to Ithaca college. The room suites are excellent. The kitchenette includes a refrigerator, stove, table, and dishes. The work area is good. Beds were very comfortable. This is not a "luxury" hotel, but a nice play to stay for business or leisure travelers.

College Bound

Pros: Very homey feel. Everything you need
Cons: nothing
Location: There wasn't much to do very close; however the downtown Ithaca is only10 mins away. You could do a little shopping and the Applebee's was nice.
I brought my daughter and my mother up for college orientation. The set up of the King Suite was just perfect. I do wish that they had slightly cheaper rates or at the least Ithaca discounts since the hotel is so close to the school. There are a lot of activities college new by parents have to attend.

Great value, very comfortable

We liked this place a lot. Our main floor room was spotless, with a lovely little kitchenette and a very clean bathroom. Windows open for fresh air! With a kitchenette you can manage some meals in your room, which is great for families. There is also a breakfast buffet with different items each morning, and on weeknights they were also offering a light complimentary dinner service - which was just the thing for a family with small children who were exhausted by the end of the day. The location of it is a bit isolated but there is a mall next door with a drug store, coffee shop, etc, and a grocery store near by. We'd definitely stay here again!
