“Don't judge a book by its cover”

Driving up to the hotel had us a little nervous to be staying there. But once we were inside we realized that it was a decent place to spend the night. Our room was nice. And the continental breakfast made it easy while traveling with two young children.

“Good Value and Relaxing”

First time visiting and I cannot really come up with any complaints. The hotel is located right off the freeway, my reservation was paid for and brought right up immediately. Arrived 1 1/2 hours prior to check in and after they completed vacuuming, the room was our for no extra charge. Found the room very clean and well managed. No complaints about noise or the continental breakfast/coffee bar. While staff was not overly friendly, they were very professional and pleasant. I feel the property was nice and convenient and offered a fair price. A 4 rating for this type of property is the same as a 5 for a larger more expensive location. Would stay again without hesitation.

“Clean, comfortable stay with friendly staff”

Our room was clean and tidy! The sheets and pillows smelled fresh and were very clean. The bathroom was older, but was very clean. Nice flat screen tv with many channels. Front desk was friendly, making hot tea water for us at night since we came in from a rainy, cold trip. It was a comfortable stay and I would stay there again.

“Fine two nights sleep”

This is an older hotel, but the rooms were recently remodeled and the provided a very good night's sleep. The lobby and breakfast was nothing special.

“Difficult for us!”

It didn't have an elevator and my sister-in-law had to carry our luggage up to the second floor. It might not have been so bad if we were younger but we are both senior citizens. They need an elevator.

“Would Not Stay Again”

Ithaca is about 17 miles away, and Cortland becomes one of the overflow locations where parents can stay who are dropping kids off or visiting kids at Ithaca College or Cornell. The hotel is an older motel-style building with small lobby and breakfast area. Rooms were typical of this era of motel, but had a musty smell, and the cover over the quilt had very noticeable stains, which was quite disgusting. Even though location was great, and trip into Ithaca was direct and only took about a half hour, I would not stay here again.

“Never again!”

There was a bad smell all over the place, A/C was half broken, the "Deluxe breakfast" was nothing more than some muffins, cereal and water like coffee. This was a stop on a trip to upstate NY, the price was double than what we paid for 2 other hotels that were so much better, in terms of breakfast quality and room quality, A 1 star motel is probably a much better deal.

“A tad under managed.”

Well, it didn't start too well when they gave us the keys to a room that was already occupied. They apologized profusely. But then when the wifi didn;t work, and I needed urgently to get on and fix a problem at work, they apologized again, and were not able to fix it. It was still down the next morning at breakfast, although they insisted it was fixed.
