“Could use at least a fridge or microwave.”
If there are no rooms available near Ithaca or Cornell, this 30min trip out to Cortland is not too bad. It was ok. Bathroom really could use update, looked dirty (but really old chipped tile) Cleanliness of bedroom good. Wi-Fi good. No Fridge Bad (dry air so i like to have cold drink available mid night). Food really pretty good and very fair price. Overall the Hotel did its job for the time I spent in it.
“Cheap and Cheerful 30 mins from Cornell”
I arrived late at night, and left at 5:00 a.m., so both times I had to wake a clerk. They were friendly enough. Hallways were tatty, with a slight cheap hotel smell, but the room was immaculate, bath towels cleverly folded like rabbits on the beds (!), the bed was very comfortable, and window coverings sufficient to block light at night or allow in light in the day while maintaining privacy. The TV was old, but a convenient sheet enabled me to find the channels I wanted, and without going through a main menu each time I wanted to go to another channel, like some of the new high-tech tvs in posh hotels. Internet was free and easily accessible (for me...my son couldn't log on). If I get shut out of Ithaca again, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here. Only drawback was that it is 30 minutes from Ithaca. Pretty countryside to drive through though, and Cortland is interestingly historical.
“Avoid”
The hotel parking lot was deserted, but they claimed that all rooms were full from the night before, and we would not be able to check in until 2 hours after we had planned (3 PM). The rude and unhelpful woman at the front desk suggested we change in the restroom, which was filthy. There was no manager on duty. We booked at this location only because it was very close to the wedding we were attending. We stayed elsewhere rather than deal with a dirty, rude hotel, so I cannot comment on the rooms themselves.
“Ok for one night”
If you plan only on staying one night, as I did, it should be fine. There was some mold on the bathroom ceiling, and the wall paper was peeling off in the main part of the room, exposing more mold. I thought the room was going to have to regular beds: one was a pull-out. Do not get breakfast at the restaurant attached to the hotel. The eggs, sausage, bacon (all kept in warming dishes) were cold, and the fruit was not quite ripe. (Having travelled many times, I should have known to avoid it). As a quickie one-night stay in a pinch kind of place, it will suit. But not for a vacation.
“Cortland Ramada”
the hotel was very nice very clean and quiet. Wifi was slow but reliable. Pool was clean and all the amenities were clean and in good order
“Adequate accomodations”
The room was clean and comfortable. The only complaint I have is that when I arrived to my room, it was a very warm day, and the air conditioning should have been turned on ahead of time so that the room was at a comfortable temperature. Unfortunatelly, it was very warm and stuffy, so I turned on the a/c and left the room for a while until it was at a comfortable temperature.
“Great Experience!”
Big, nice room; friendly staff. Well worth the money.
“Not good.”
Entire hotel had a musty smell..from the lobby to the rooms. Bathroom was not clean and smelled like urine. Beds were supposed to be 2 queen..we had 2 double beds instead.
“Disappointed”
Was most disappointed in their not offering a crumb for breakfast except at great expense. Since I was there for the Senior Games and was competing early in the morning I couldn't eat a big breakfast but couldn't afford their extraordinary price for a piece of toast or fruit either. The host hotel was about half the price and came with a full choice of options for breakfast as well as fruit and coffee anytime. Unfortunately they were booked full. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone unless they have heaps of money to spend.
“Good Stay”
Everything was fine. Although there was no microwave or refrigerator in the room.
