Hotel looked abandoned.

Posted Jul 22, 2013
Pros: Staff was pleasant.
Cons: Parking lot, entrance, update rooms, several things needed repair, shower, sink...carpet...
Location: Convenient to visiting several state parks, Buttermilk Falls and downtown Ithaca
When we drove up, you couldn't even tell where the entrance was, no signage. The parking lot was empty, completely empty, we honestly thought it was an abandoned hotel. So many updates this hotel needed it's just too many to list. The staff was pleasant but it couldn't make up for the fact that this hotel was awful.

Fine for driving through

Posted Jul 7, 2013
Pros: swimming pool was nice
Cons: It definitely needs remodeling or at least some maintenance work done in the parking lot and the overall structure.
Location: You can't beat downtown Ithaca and Cornell for a beautiful downtown and college campus
The room and swimming pool were fine. The hotel's appearance and parking lot was very shabby and we expected a little more - thinking that faculty and student recruits might lodge there.

Affordable and kids will love their indoor pool.

Posted Jul 7, 2013
Pros: Overall service at this hotel is good. Affordable with good amenities & staffs were approachable too.
Cons: We were just looking for the microwave in the room that most hotel were been has it.
Location: It is accessible to fast food chains and other attractions like state parks and science center which we visited before leaving ithaca
My kids love the place. They were comfortable sleeping, like foods for breakfast and most of all love to swim in their indoor pool that is safe for kids like mine.

Needs a major retrofit

Posted Jul 2, 2013
Beds and towels are fine. The problem is the whole infrastructure. Bad ventilation system makes and humidity levels and smell barely sustainable. Breakfast is fat, sugar and white bread and a lot of it - some will like it.

What a dump!

Posted Jun 30, 2013
Pros: At least the bed was comfortable.
Cons: Tear down and rebuild this hotel. It's decrepit!
Location: location was good for dinner and shopping
Pulled up on a Friday night and parking lot was empty. Now I know why. What a dump! Entrance looked like a ghetto, walls cracking, floor in pieces, rugs un-vacumed and curling, musty smell. Well you get the picture; never again. The price of this hotel should have been a $39 overnight instead of the outrageous $163.47 I paid! Never again!

Avoid at all costs.

The place looked like it had been abandoned in the early 90's. Everything was dirty, very dated and VERY worn out. Absolutely no effort was made to update ANYTHING. There was a long area of black mold along the seal of the the bathtub and even the toilet had mold growing in it. I can't believe this hotel is so close to Cornell University who has one of the best hotel management programs in the country! They need some major help.

It should be called a road motel not hotel, room rate is way over priced. Broken pavements, pathways, deplorable parking lot, dirty carpets in corridors, broken doors at guest entry ways.

Need To Update

Posted Jun 17, 2013
Pros: I booked this hotel because it had an indoor pool. Although we did not get to use it because we arrived at a late hour.
Cons: Improvements that could be made would be the following: repave parking lot, update interior such as carpeting and ceiling tiles, bathroom fans.
Location: We were in town for a lacrosse tournament, the other draw would be Cornell University.
The front desk attendant was courteous and polite at check. My room was clean and tidy. Bed was comfortable. Does need some curb appeal. Parking lot is in disrepair. Interior needs updating. Location was ideal for our travel.
