memorable vacation

Awesome vacation! The extra money spent on the excursions was well worth it! Canyoneering was the highlight. Staff so friendly and helpful. Resort breathtaking!

Want to spend more time there

We really had a lovely experience there. People were so nice. Scenery great. Our stay there was too short. Just an overall good vibe there. Really liked it.

Disappointed about quality, price, cleanliness,

Posted Mar 17, 2015
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Cleanliness, service, desk service.
Location: Buy cars!!!!
Way too much money for the size and quality of the room, regardless of the time of year. The response of the desk staff was slow. One time they did not even answer the phone. The stairwells and the walkways had not been cleaned for quite sometime. Out side the staircase, guests, and/or employees even had an ashtray sitting on the grass on a walkway to the rooms themselves and smoked in the path of guests going to and from rooms. Our last night there, the desk didn't even set the time we requested for a wake-up call. The pictures and claims on the Internet were highly inaccurate and misleading. Will never stay there again!!!

The bed was uncomfortable. The room was small. Overall, too expensive. not sound-proofed. we heard all the footsteps of people upstairs

pretty mediocre and facilities not worth the price

Posted Feb 17, 2015
Pros: Proximity to Snow Canyon State Park is great
Cons: Service, attention to detail, food quality
For the most expensive hotel in St George, especially with the name Spa and located next to a gorgeous park I would have expected nicer facilities. The 'villas' are good sized hotel rooms that are of standard US condo quality level, i.e. far from the finishes of a four star hotel. Instead of having a view on the fabulous red mountains around it, all villas look at a smallish pool area (and thus onto each other) - it did not help that the pool was closed and drained despite gorgeous weather and 75F. Service was lost: check-in took forever (why would you require each guest (we were four) for their own registration, a disclaimer for services that we did not even use and four credit card imprints and deposits????), breakfast was mediocre (by 9am, buffet was half eaten and not replenished/refreshed, coffee and cocoa watery and thin, no juices, for a health resort I would expect more than white bread and muffins ...)

Beautiful setting among the redstone canyon.

Great relaxing vacation. The Red Mountain Spa and Resort has nice facilities, including complimentary breakfast, offers massage and stream and spa with many other optional organized activities.

Wonderful location, next to the Snow Canyon Park

Posted Feb 1, 2015
Pros: It was quiet and the staff very friendly and professional.
Cons: Lights outside each room on all night.
Location: Hiking, biking in park and good food down in St. George.
Beautiful setting and excellent service. We went off season so the weather was perfect for biking and hiking. The variation of classes were fun.

No hot water

Posted Jan 19, 2015
We couldn't shower or even wash our hands in comfort because the water was ice cold. When we told guest services they said, "to let the water run for a bit"....a half hour later of running the water, the temp hadn't changed any. They didn't change our room. They just apologized.

A great place for a relaxing vacation.

Pros: The rooms with king beds are more expensive than 2 double beds - we're charged more for being a couple.
This was our third stay at Red Mountain and we had another great time. It' nice to go to destination spa and not need to drive anywhere to have fun. Hiking and mountain biking are close enough so you don't need to drive. Lots of activities at the resort, too. The food is good and healthy. I would consider the a la carte pricing unless you're sure you're going to do a lot of the activities and/or classes; you'll save some money.
