Nice clean friendly property but...Posted Jan 15, 2015
Pros: The staff and service and the cleanliness of the property.
Cons: Need adult lounge..
Location: About a 20 minute taxi or bus to Ixtapa Centro. Isla Ixtapa great day trip.
Great staff and very clean property but not for the romantic... Only one, very sterile, buffet with primarily Mexican fare disguised sometimes as, eg.French or Spanish. Only one (bar) in lobby..very loud with all ages of children allowed in games area and throughout. Only draft beer served on site outside of the 3 quite good restaurants. Pools all close at 8:00pm..one adult pool quietest. Good stage shows at night .

Great hotel for family travelPosted Jan 11, 2015
Great facilites and activities for kids. Rooms and view are very good. The buffet restaurant is very good for breakfast, the food for dinner was ok, specialities restaurants are not worth it. The spa is very good as well.

Excelente hotel!Posted Dec 25, 2014

Fantastic Overall Experience!Posted Dec 8, 2014
Pros: Amazing and very accommodating staff, top to bottom.
Cons: As menu style option for breakfast and lunch.
Location: Close to shopping, restaurants, and sightseeing.
We really enjoyed our 12 day stay here at the Azul Ixtapa Grand. The staff are amazing and really made the trip. The a la carte restaurants are all excellent here as well as next door at the sister property. The buffet for breakfast/lunch was the only weak amenity here as it was inconsistent at times and the atmosphere lacking.

The TripPosted Dec 7, 2014
Location: It is about 20 miles from airport, which is a $35 ride each.Cabs are at the airport.
This a hotel that is only a few years so well planed out. There are three pools, one is adult, rooms are good size. The food is many kinds of countries. We had wonderful time.

Great experience in IxtapaPosted Dec 1, 2014
Pros: The view is absolutely magnificent
Cons: More activities at the hotel. The hotel included catamaran activities should not be promoted when they are not available in fact.
Location: Snorkeling, ATV tours, Zip Line adventure, catamaran tour from Zihuatanejo.
We stayed the Thanksgiving week of 2014. Everything was great for a family quiet retreat until the last 2 days when the hotel filled up. As long as the hotel is not filled to full capacity, everything was almost flawless. The food could get a tiny bit better in the buffet (mainly the temperature was not right - always a bit cold), but the selection was pretty good for an all inclusive resort. Drinks were abundant and the service was good as well. The beach is very small for a hotel of this size. The pools are a bit better but not sufficient space, once the hotel runs at fool capacity. Be aware of tourists that wake up early and throw towels on all chairs. Again we enjoyed a quiet week when most of the time we did not experience these issues, but once the weekend came things changed rather quickly.
