Best Hotel/Best StaffPosted May 26, 2015
Pros: Beautiful simple decoration, very clean, good food and great staff.
Location: We took several of the sight seeing tours offered at the hotel. Loved the beach at Ixtapa Island
Absolutely loved the Azul Grand. The hotel is beautiful and the staff is wonderful. Beautiful pools. The hotel is extremely clean and kept up very nicely. The only disappointment was the beach at the hotel. Very small and not useable. However, Ixtapa island is a short distance away with the best of beaches. I found the food to be excellent at both the buffet and specialty restaurants. I can't wait to go back!

Best service in MexicoPosted Apr 6, 2015
Cons: I feel they could improve the buffet service. It would be really nice to have fresh grilled chicken breasts and hamburgers as an option.
Location: Absolutely love Zhihuatenjo and really enjoyed the Picante sail boat cruises, I would highly recommend these trips we did both the sunset cruise and t
We just returned from a two week stay that the Azul Ixtapa Grand and we absolutely loved the hotel and the staff. Everyone is extremely attentive and friendly. The hotel is clean and well appointed and the pool is amazing. Your best option is to go to the pool early (by 7:00 am) to reserve the best seats with cushions by the pool. The gym is exceptional and I attended many of the spin classes which were excellent. All of the equipment is new and well maintained. Favorite restaurants were the Oyster bar (surf & turf was excellent) and the Mediterranean restaurant in the sister hotel.

Grata experienciaPosted Mar 24, 2015

Beautiful Hotel with a great view and accomidationPosted Mar 23, 2015
Pros: Food, Comfort, Staff, Pools
Cons: The Beach
Location: Kayaking to Ixtapa Island, Bike tours, Shopping, Wind Sailing, Dolphins, Snorkeling
Me and my Girl Friend spent a week at this hotel and it was fantastic. The Staff was friendly and most could speak fluent English. The food was very good and the al la carts were fantastic. The Mediterranean was very good. It has an amazing view of Ixtapa Island. I highly recommend this Hotel. The only problem we had was the lack of a beach because we both like to play in the ocean. But on either side of this amazing hotel are beaches that are humongous and you can walk along them. And also you can go to the hotel next door and use their beach since both hotels are linked together.

first time at Azul GrandPosted Mar 23, 2015
Pros: infinity pool was very nice and not as many kids in the pool spa was very good
Cons: shuttle going into town so we don't have to have a taxi all the time The bikes were not very good- have those available to check out for guests
Location: a little too far from town
The hotel was very nice. Not much was explained as we checked in. A little further out than we would have like from downtown. Great walking path outside of hotel. The beach was not much in front of hotel. There was a great beach to the left of the hotel in front of Club med for walking on. We didn't find that till day 6-no one told us.

Great Hotel, Great View, Great TimePosted Mar 19, 2015
Pros: Almost Everything!
Cons: restaurant reservations
Location: Ixtapa Island, markets...
The staff was great, rooms and hotel were very clean. Great area to go shopping in, the Ixtapa Island is a great place to go and check out, find Willy! The only issue I had with the resort is the reservations for their restaurants was a crock. We were there 5 nights and could only make two reservations. The reservation office said to try and come back around 3 pm to see if anything was available, nothing ever was until 10 pm. You could go to the restaurants around 7 pm and there would be a bunch of open tables and they wouldn't seat you. Other than that the experience was great. Bring mostly Pesos, you get better deals everywhere if you use Pesos. Find Juan at the swim up bar, makes the best drinks...
