“Great Get Away”

First time in Ixtapa and first time at an Intercontinental. I will be going back as soon as possible. Great service Friendly staff Great Location Wonderful Stay

Area recommendations
The area around the hotel is perfect. You can walk everywhere, to shop, eat great food, explore the area and get closer to the terrific Mexican culture.
Getting around
You would be fine staying at the hotel the walking around that area. We took the bus several times to Ixtapa Island and into Zwat. It was 8 pecos to ride and it's fun

“affordable”

my family and i traveled to intercontinental presidente all inclusive resort this was a great hotel the staff was friendly and at our service.. we were disappointed the fact that there were no entertainment at night..the food was great as breakfast and lunch was buffet yet nothing special served..at dinner it was only a carte which it was fine yet we would had preffered more options since it was only italian on monday and tuesday it was french.. i did hear the mexican fiesta given each saturday was a must see..sad we couldnt stay that long. the towel service was great i wished it could be available longer not till 7:30

“I had a lot of fun in this Hotel.”

I am looking forward to go back to Ixtapa Intercontinental Presidente. The service and the food was good. The grill night on the beach was awesome. The staff is dedicated every day to give the best service. Also, I enjoyed the beautiful towel arrangements with flowers that they create in the room. Thank you.

“Parker Family Stay”

The Hotel Staff was extremely courteous, helpful and understanding. The Food was not fantastic. Breakfast was good, lunch sucked (hamburgers and Hot dogs with some fries or chips and salsa really)? The kids didn't mind, but nothing like I had in mind. Dinners were the same just in a different location. It advertises 4 dining rooms, which I thought we could walk into and order from. No all buffet. The food was mediocre at best. I don't want to go to Mexico to get Italian or American Food I want Mexican.

Area recommendations
Where we were at was beautiful. I loved the Hotel, and that it's location.
What to pack
Beach wear and very little dress clothing. A couple of Casual outfits.
Shopping
Shopping was o.k. I liked the market other wise the individual shops were EXTREMELY over priced.
Dining
Dining at the hotel was Casual and not very good Food. We did go out and get a good meal at the Chili Beans. All Inclusive is very restrictive, but it does pay when you have 20 year olds along. Between the booze and food it pays for it self.
Nightlife
In this area, pretty much zilch. There was a Senior Frogs on the beach which my son wanted to go to . Closed apparently. The one across the street we went, pretty slim. So not for the young crowd. My husband and I were fine.
Outdoors or beach
The beach was nice. However not combed every morning like in Playa Del, but very comfortable and nice. The beach service was good and we enjoyed this.

“Good hotel for rating”

Very good middle classed hotel. Strongly recommend not accepting a room near the main street as senor frog is across the street and they have little consideration to how far their sound carries nor the inconvenience it causes others trying to sleep. The hotel could also improve its' food service and consistency regarding what restaurant is open and when. Otherwise, very good and I would return.

“Lovely place all around.”

My husband and I had such a great time at the InterContinental Presidente Ixtapa that when we discussed returning to Mexico we will probably book there again. Everything was clean and the food choices were good. The beach was very nice and the pools were fantastic. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The concierge gave us great tips on the places we wanted to visit. I hated messing up the beautiful pillow decorations that housekeeping made every day. It was nice to be withing walking distance of several shops as well. I would (and have) recommend this resort.

Must go to Centro Mercado in Zihua!

I would recommend a fishing trip that ends at Los Gatos beach where they will prepare & serve your fish for a very reasonable price. And Los Gatos water is great for snorkeling.

“nice hotel bad food”

dont buy airport transfers- for the $160 we spent, we got 2 $10 taxi rides.

“Love Ixtapa”

Would stay there again. The only thing we did not like was the loud music till 12:00 p.m. every night. Would stay on the other side of the hotel next time where it is more quiet.

“I probably won''t go back”

registration attendant (female) was rude and try to charge expenses that were part of the packet at check out. Other male attendant was nice enough to let her know that it was already paid. That save us some headache and a call to expedia to verify information.

Zihuatanejo Area beach; relaxing with many little restaurants; fishing, etc. Also Ixtapa Island good snokeling, and the bike rides on the "cyclopista"
