Nice hotel.Posted Dec 7, 2014
Nice hotel. Beach is super clean. Private beach for only las brisas customers. No outside venders trying to sell you items. Buffet was delicious. And the view from the room was beautiful. Inside the room it was really nice and elegant. Free wifi near the coffee shop inside the hotel where gift stores are at. Only thing I wish they had we're if they will offer water sports like jet skis. Next time I'll go do water sports at another hotel and finish my last days at las brisas. Will definitely come back again.

Pros: Still Mexico and not Americanized. Nice and quiet
Location: Not in the heart of Ixtapa so not as busy as the other hotels. A nice 10-15 minute walk. No problem with feeling unsafe.
Great time with family. Ixtapa is still a small little town. Nice to visit a place that has not been overrun by American business. No McDonalds, Home Depot or Costco

Great Thanksgiving HolidayPosted Dec 3, 2014
Pros: We love the layout from the restaurants, to the pool and the very large beach area down below.
Cons: The hotel needs some upgrades to fixtures such as door handles. Nothing major - just regular maintenance upgrades.
Location: We took a day trip to Ixtapa Island. We would recommend it. The snorkeling was great and the food served on the island was great - we had the fish.
We spent 5 nights at the hotel. The room was very comfortable and roomy. We had three adults and between the two beds and the couch we slept very well. The staff is very friendly and the service was excellent. We loved the pool area and the beach. This was our Thanksgiving getaway for my husband, adult daughter and me. It is quiet and very beautiful.

Cons: I think Wifi should be included in hotel rates...
Everything was wonderful, the only thing I point out is that WIFI should be included.

Always the bestPosted Nov 16, 2014
I've been staying at Las Brisas since 1989. It's the best hotel in Ixtapa. You CAN go all inclusive, but we don't because there are so many great restaurants in downtown Ixtapa and Zihuatanejo. In non high season, not all the restaurants are open all the time - in the hotel AND both towns. Don't let this bother you. There are still great choices. The hotel itself is a stellar site, with a gorgeous design by architect Ricardo Legoretta. The staff is simply the best. You won't find better attention to your needs and requests here. Their service is impeccable. There are no non ocean view rooms. Treat yourself. Many repeat guests, year after year. Be one of them!

I found the hotel unpleasant, overpriced, no charm, empty, run down, bad food.

Remarkably underwhelmedPosted Nov 7, 2014
Pros: Not well maintained.
Cons: Revamp the rooms and better care into the facilities.
Location: Club Med was great.
How many flights of stairs to the beach? The elevator to the beach was broken and I am handicapped. When I asked for a refund, I was told I had to go through Expedia to get one. Too many hoops. Luckily they had room at the Club Med which was fantastic.

Beautiful setting-Elegant HotelPosted Nov 2, 2014
Open air concept utilizing natural ocean breezes for cooling-comfort. Staff bent over backward to ensure all our needs were met. Morning Buffett though kind of pricey was a great way to start the adventures that await you for the day. We enjoyed the happy hours at the bar and frosty beverages at the beach palapas. Stay exceeded most of our expectations. Love this place!!
