Extremely Terrible Hotel staff

Posted Mar 14, 2014
I was extremely disappointed with the predisposition of staff towards my family and myself. We were not treated with the same quality of servitude ( shunned at some points) as other guest simply because we didn't appear up to par with other guest. I am deeply offended by this form of classification of patrons.

Four In A Row

Posted Mar 11, 2014
Pros: Food, staff, cleanliness
Cons: A little touch-up painting could be done in the rooms.
Location: Beautiful beach and good shopping
This is the fourth year in a row that my wife and I have stayed at the Tesoro. It's could use a little paint in places but we feel it adds to the charm of the resort. It's very clean, the food is great, the staff is friendly, it's on a beach that's both beautiful and "walkable", and has great shopping within a several block distance. We plan on going back again next year :-)

It is a nice hotel next to the beach

Posted Mar 3, 2014
Pros: The people working for the hotel were very nice and helpful
Cons: The pool area and the beds/pillows
Location: There are within walking distance good places to eat,
Like I said, it was a nice hotel next to the beach but I didn't care for the swimming pool area on the week ends there are to many young children who take over the pool. They disrespect the adults in the pool and using the spray toys and spraying water at anyone or everyone in the pool or just sitting by the pool. The children don't move out of the way when you are trying to get in the pool. Very, very inconsiderate. Also, the beds/pillows are uncomfortable.

Nice hotel and great location for value

Good buffet for all meals and decent inclusive drinks. The hotel staff are great with clean rooms for a very good price. Great beach access but can be very busy during the day

Great hotel on the beach, close to everythingf

Posted Jan 8, 2014
Pros: Location, good drinks, good food.
Cons: More beach/pool chairs or enforce the rule posted everywhere about not reserving them.
Great hotel for the money. Everything was topnotch. Only problem was people reserving beach/pool chairs and not using them, thus not enough chairs available, this is the one thing that would prevent us from returning.

Good location but overcrowded and rundown

Posted Dec 30, 2013
Pros: It was right in the middle of the bay.
Cons: There were only 3 elevators for this large hotel and it was packed all the time.
Location: The property had everything that my wife and I needed, but my son spent most of his time exploring the old town nearby
My wife and I brought our son along on this vacation. We booked together on Expedia and my son booked through another travel website. He didn't book a room, as we already had one and he just intended to bunk with us. We checked in and find out that he has to pay full price for a room and and also pay for an all inclusive stay. We asked for the European plan for him, but they would not accept that as they were only an all inclusive hotel. He didn't eat at the hotel, as he doesn't like buffet style food. He did however drink at the two bars and did have a good time, but it turned out to be very expensive given that there are places in Zihautanejo for 20 pesos a day.

This hotel was better than expected.

Posted Dec 16, 2013
This was our 6th trip to Ixtapa and first time at the Tesora. The room was better than our last time at the Dorado. The room overlooked the pool and had a balcony 18 ft x12 ft. Food and service was excellent! The airport lost our luggage in Mexico City and the hotel took our info, got our luggage, and brought it to our room. We will go there again.

Dream vacation.

October in Ixtapa is the low season. Although the hotel had very few guests, the service and the staff were fantastic. It is a dream vacation.
