Barefoot elegance on one of Mexico's premier beaches

On gentle La Ropa beach

Surrounded by gardens of bougainvillea and hibiscus, this 46-room resort is set on tranquil La Ropa beach, just south of the village of Zihuatanejo. Ixtapa is a short drive.

Seaside massage hut

Guests can snorkel and ride horses, but many come just for the beach and the four lovely pools (one with an infinity edge); massages are available in a thatched-roof hut on the sand.

Rooms with Mexican art

Housed in two-story casitas, guestrooms are airy and attractive, with bright fabrics and Mexican artwork. All have wide furnished terraces with views of the gardens, lagoon, or ocean.
