The area is best known for the Izmailovsky Market, a popular tourist market surrounded by a mock wooden fortress where souvenirs from matrioshka dolls to Soviet memorabilia are sold. There is also a local market selling food and clothes outside the wooden entrance. The nearby Izmailovsky Park is one of the largest parks in Moscow and contains the Pokhorovoskiy Cathedral and the Izmailovo Museum.
