“Very good Hotel and beautiful landscape”

I would consider that it's a very lovely hotel and the people are really nice. Their english is one of the best in Izmir and that is really helpful for non native turkish speakers. I totally recommend the hotel. Best regards to everyone.

“Turkish delight”

Wonderful position overlooking Aegean and Greek Island of Chios. Swimming pools for all ages with newly renovated sea front decking, sun loungers, umbrellas and bar at the foot of the cliffs, with secluded beach and sheltered, lifeguarded section of sea. Half board accommodation is good value, with lovely local food, and plenty of variety. Staff friendly and helpful. Faulty light in bedroom was fixed within minutes by maintenance staff. Virtually all the bedrooms face north or south with a sea view. North view better than south but both stunning. Most guests are Turkish, which may be an indicator that the hotel is good value.

“Excellent value for money”

Grand Hotel Ontur offers a wide variety of facilities for all ages and requirements. Its clifftop position and sea views are outstanding, the quality and range of delicious food for breakfast and evening meal were excellent. Bedroom was clean and comfortable, but the air conditioning could have been more effective. Gym, private beach, daily activities for children were all included. Two outdoor and one indoor swimming pool were all good. The health, leisure and spa centre was good but extra cost of all beauty, massage and health services would be significant if used. Staff were generally helpful but sometimes could be indifferent to the presence and requirements of guests.

“Off the main stretch in Cesme, Izmir.”

It is a resolt-like hotel with a giant padio area for swimming and a bar in premises. It also has big gardens and a swimming pool. Good for families with kids who'd like to check in and stay at the hotel for a few days.

“A bit strange hotel”

This is a good hotel, however… Even with breakfast and dinner included in the rate we paid, we were asked to pay for tap water (water in a clear plastic container or jar) during dinner. A 1/2 - 1 gallon jar of water with ice costs $2-4. Charging money for tap water is weird. All two weeks in August that we stayed in the hotel the “jaccuzi” kept displaying the same sign “out of order”. There was no nothing indicating any repair efforts. Personnel working here speaks no English or little English (except reception with limited English). If you can’t read their ads and info in Turkish language – you are probably are not getting much… Safe box is too small for my regular laptop. For some strange reasons cleaning crew would take our used towels and would not bring any fresh towels. For several days, I had to search for the crew and ask for towels. My wife thinks they wanted tips for towels. If you leave sign “please clean my room” on door knob in the morning, do not expect their very slow cleaning crew to clean it before 4 pm. Then go and find them and ask nicely to clean your room. No coffee/tea maker in the room. No iron in the room. No internet connection in the room. Go to a common area to get a weak and unstable internet signal. This is for free. Bring extra-long cord to plug in available electric outlet in common areas. Good things: thermal spa. You will have to buy a cover for your hair. Also nice short disco parties for small kids. Nice swimming pools and beach.
