"Perfect combination of Japanese Ryokan and Western"
This hotel has perfect position facing Pacific Ocean. Included dinner and breakfast are fantastic. If the in room outdoor onsen is not enough, the top floor private family onsen will make you happy. We had great time in this hotel and my son was not willing to go next day.

"Nice Hotel across from the beach"
I stayed here for one night. Staff spoke English and were very courteous. This hotel is right across from the beach and not too far from the Atami station and down town. The hot springs was a added bonus. Room was spacious and had a nice view of the ocean.

"A delightful stay!"
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. We were warmly welcomed, had a spacious traditional Japanese room, and loved every minute we spent in the onsen. The routines of the hot springs were carefully explained to us, and we each felt very comfortable in our gender-segregated baths. There was a plentiful Japanese breakfast - the grilled fish were especially delicious. The town of Ito was a delight to explore, and the cherry blossoms along the river were incredibly beautiful. Overall, a wonderful experience!

"Good business hotel"
The hotel is about 10 mins by taxi from Numazu train station. Hotel is very large and has good dining choices. Breakfast is a buffet with Western and Japanaese food. There is a traditional Japanese restaurant which is very good. The buffet restaurant serves Western food from a menu in the evening and this is also good, althought the choice is limited. Staff were very polite and helpful and spoke English. The only downside was the bed which was very, very hard and not very comfortable.

"Nice traditional Japanese ryokan with tatami rooms"
Good way to immerse yourself in Japanese culture. Sleep on the floor with tatami mats and enjoy a traditional Japanese hot springs bath. Wear a Japanese yukata kimono to relax and enjoy. Eat the traditional Japanese breakfast for a small fee. It is worth it and will fill you up until lunch. There is a 15 minute walk to the train station. It is a major train station where the express trains all stop which is great. Please identify the train station for visitors as I got off at Ito station which was several train stations away and ran up my taxi bill. I was able to explore the Izu Peninsula due to the convenience of the location. The staff was very helpful in identifying locations to visit and even provided transportation to close by areas.

"An onsen hotel where you cannot use onsen"
Too bad this would have been a great Onsen (hot spring bath) hotel if it were not for a single dreadful problem (at least for me). Atami is a well-known onsen town, and people who come to this town look forward to sea food and onsen. Well, when I arrived at the hotel and went to the main male bath room, I found one female employee, middle-aged woman in jerseys, is stationed at the entry. And soon I noticed that this woman freely walks around the dressing area (where you disrobe) and even in the large bathroom itself. Some locals do not seem to mind, but for mw, a Japanese native who has lived in the US for more than half of his life, just cannot accept letting a stranger woman in the same room where I am naked. So I left the bath room, luckily still clothed, went back to my room, and took a bath in a tiny bath tab. And next morning, when I checked in the main bathroom again, I found the same woman still walking around and "serving" male customers. What's the point of coming to an onsen hotel where you are forced to use a super-small bath tub in the room? Otherwise, the hotel is ideally located right on the ocean front with a great view from the room, and food was good and other employees were very friendly. When I complained about that female employee at the front desk, the clerk seemed very surprised. Maybe she was not an employee? But all the same, you cannot use onsen at an onsen hotel. I will NOT recommend this place to any of my friends.
