I'd like to preface this review by saying I have very, very, discerning taste. I've stayed in beautiful hotels all over the world so when I give a positive review, it's deserved.
This was our second stay at the Bentwood and it didn't disappoint. The rustic cabin was beautifully decorated, and we enjoyed sitting in the perfectly manicured yard. We even saw a baby moose and its mother grazing out back.
The breakfasts were gourmet all the way--chicken and waffles, crepes, Moroccan sauce with eggs. The chefs were sweet enough to share their recipes. We also enjoyed the happy hour each day with wine and horderves.
We attended the Friday night dinner. The meal was perfectly prepared and presented and the medley of flavors offered were delicious too. If I have to complain, I'd say the serving sizes could have been larger as we only received a small slice of elk meat. There wasn't much wine offered either.
Aside from the above nitpick, the Bentwood was lovely. The staff were accommodating and welcoming. I'd highly recommend this place. We'll certainly return for an encore.
