“Very Satisfied with Stay”

We felt very welcome. The front desk operator was very helpful telling us where we might go to see elk and moose and inviting us to take some videos back to our room to watch. The servers at the restaurant were very friendly and hardworking. The rooms, restaurant, and lobby were very clean and welcoming. There was a nice grassy area for the kids to play frisbee or kick around the soccer ball.

“Wonderful experience”

We were there for our honeymoon and completely loved the hotel. It was quaint, rustic and yet, very elegant with the slate tiles in the bathroom. We plan on going back!

I traveled with two friends, and once we stayed at the Hatchet Resort, we wished that we'd done our itinerary in reverse and stayed two days there rather than at the Old Faithful Inn. One of my friends is already making plans for a trip there with her husband next fall. And I will be talking with my mom and 5 sisters about a trip as well.

“Happy client”

Who knew we'd encounter southern accents in northern Wyoming? The young staff (Mississipians)is enthusiastic, diligent workers, and offer the impression that my comfort is their mission. The cabin was pleasingly warm on the chilly nights with no noisy heat. Cabin was soundproof, and parking was directly in front of our door, very convenient for loading and unloading. Dining entrees are prepared in their kitchen, and very good; not a shred of iceburg in the green salad (the poppy seed dressing was delicious). And what can you say about the scenery: Teton Park close by, the Hatchet Ranch located in a gorgeous valley beneath clear blue skies. We liked the Hatchet a lot, would stay there again, and recommend to others.

“Great Stop in the Tetons”

Nothing super fancy, however comfortable, clean rooms, nice shower, good food, friend staff, beautiful views of the Tetons from the dining room. Wish we could find more places like this as we travel around the country.

“Great place to stay”

The Hatchet resort is a very convenient location to stay at, because it is situated about 7 miles away from the entrance to the Grand Teton National Park, and is distant about 20 miles from Jackson Hole airport and about 30-40 miles from the entrance to the Yellowstone National Park. It thus allows tourists to access both the National Parks, and also the town of Jackson Hole for a complete vacation. The service is very homely. My parents are vegetarian so we were not able to eat lunch and dinner at their restaurants, but we did have a great breakfast there. For dinner, the people helped us by heating our food. Their rooms are cozy and comfortable. If I were to go to the Yellowstone/Grand Teton area again, I would definitely go to the Hatchet Resort.

“Great get away”

I liked our stay at the resort because it was away from the congestion of Yellowstone Park. It was a nice quiet resort with food, gas and a small store. It was a rustic log room with TV and Wi-Fi which was nice. It would have been nice to have a fridge and microwave, but it wouldn't stop me from staying there again. The staff was nice and friendly; the stay was enjoyable.

The hotel was a great location near Yellowstone and Grant Teton Parks. Very comfortable. The cafe was good, but sometimes not open. Verty good server!

My family and I enjoyed The Hatchet Resort. Everyone there went out of their way to make sure our stay was great!!! The food and rooms were wonderful!!

“What a gem!”

We were pleasantly surprised with the Hatchet Resort, as one can never truly tell what you are going to get from booking online in an area you have never been to before. But this was by far the best place we stayed during our entire trip through the upper Mid-West region! The decor is log cabin style, but don't let that fool you into thinking this was rustic living. The bathrooms looked recently updated with slate tile showers, the beds were comfy with lots of pillows, there was cable tv and wifi internet. The rooms had no air conditioning, but it got so cool at night that you only had to open a window. And after a long day of hiking around the National Parks, you could relax in the outdoor hot tub which had a great view of the Grand Tetons (just bring some bug spray). We highly recommend booking ahead of time as there was no vacancy the entire time we were there. The staff can set up any guided hikes or horseback rides you might like. If you need a snack, postcard or souvenir, all you have to do was go to the main lodge where you checked in. The restaurant was fantastic! We were worried about being a captive audience and having to settle for the local grub. Oh no, not here... the food was expertly prepared and the staff was wonderful!
