old, overpriced, and in the middle of nowherePosted Oct 23, 2013 on Hotels.com
Room smelled dusty and old. TV barely worked. Everything (room, food, gasoline) was overpriced. Dinner food was over cooked and way too pricey for what you receive. The breakfast cook had a meltdown about another customer's order and loudly used extremely vulgar language that caused us to leave the café to avoid an obviously unbalanced hostile person preparing our breakfast. It is more than a few miles from any alternatives, so you're basically 'stuck' if you have a guaranteed reservation like we did.

Cute but needs attentionPosted Oct 9, 2013 on Hotels.com
I was disappointed. First of all, the directions to get there were incomplete and if we had known it was as far away from Moran as it was, we would have booked into Jackson. There were cobwebs in corners (although I know log walls are difficult to keep clean), and the bathroom baseboards needed cleaning. One of the wall lamps was disfunctional. The restaurant served good food, but the furniture there needed a through dusting. Our room had no amenities -- not even a coffee-maker. It was overpriced and I would not recommend it.

Great 'Old West' rustic resort!Posted Oct 7, 2013
Pros: Loved the rustic atmosphere!
Location: The location is perfect if your visiting Jackson Hole and Yellowstone National Park. It is right in the middle of these two landmarks!
The Hatchet Resort was a great place to stay, off the beaten path a bit, yet surrounded by absolute beauty!! Restaurants, both breakfast and dinner were excellent (staff and food). Rooms were very comfortable and clean!

Log cabin feel was nice change for us. Very clean hotel. TV reception was like the old days...grainy.

Far Away GemPosted Sep 17, 2013 on Hotels.com
I have to be honest. When first seeing the hotel I thought I went back to my childhood seeing hotels like this when traveling with my family. Modern? not so much, but great all the same. After checking in and getting the feel of the place we felt right at home. It was an amazing setting with the back drop of the Tetons, with a super relaxed vibe of the staff and grounds. Staff were wonderful and very friendly and the meals in the restaurants were excellant.
