Ehhhhh

There were no TV's In the cottages. Our bath tub didn't drain well and the walls were paper thin so we heard the annoying kids close to us and our neighbors pounded on our wall thinking it was us. The bed was comfy and the views were amazing from the Iodge. Be sure to try the huckleberry mojito....

Nice lodge because there's nothing else nearby :P

Posted Jul 19, 2014
Lodge is pretty nice. We got a private wood cabin with no television, which is better. Good free wifi to plan your activities for the next day. And the staff is nice and friendly. My only gripe was food service. We reached the lodge at 9PM and although they have 3 restaurants on the premises, I could go to only one since I had kids. And incidentally, they stop serving hot food at 9.30pm in the night. And the nearest restaurant was a few miles away. The next morning, we went to the restaurant at 11am. And they said, they stop serving food altogether between 11 and 11.30. :o) Perhaps if was bad timing on our part, but the lodge management should consider that visitors coming to this area may have varied timings and extend dinner service until 11pm and not have such abrupt discontinuation of service altogether in the morning.

Great lodge with amazing view!

Posted Jul 16, 2014
Pros: Great home base for all Grand Teton activities, very friendly staff, great food in restaurant, diner, and bar.
Cons: Nothing, really.
Location: Location emersed in nature. Great trials on site and within short driving distance. Unbelievable views!
We spent a week in a cute cabin at the Jackson Lake Lodge. The view of the Grand Tetons from the main lodge are breath-taking!!! Lodge is a great home base for all Grand Teton trails. Not too long of a drive to Yellowstone. Great food at both restaurant, "diner", and bar. Everyone very friendly!

Jackson Lake lodge

Posted Jul 16, 2014
Pros: Views, and location
Cons: Food selection for families
Location: Perfect location between Yellowstone and the Tetons
Fantastic family accommodation. Really enjoyed our stay. For a family of four, the rooms were large and beds comfortable. Grounds were well maintained and the view from the lodge of the Tetons was spectacular. Food was good, but limited offerings for families with kids - either the dinner or sit-down multi-course restaurant (bar restaurant would not serve food with kids present in the bar area, but out on the porch with the mosquitos!). All in all were very happy with our stay.

Older but so cool and fun!!

Posted Jul 15, 2014
Pros: Lobby building, swimming pool, bar, restaurants, views.
Cons: Older building smells in the rooms/cabins.
Location: Grand Tetons, animal viewing (saw a bear about a mile away), swimming, horseback riding...more.
While this is an older hotel, and the room did have an "older" smell, the place was pretty awesome. Great location and the lobby/main building is SPECTACULAR! Food was great in both the fine dining room (Mural room) and the kid-friendly soda fountain. The swimming pool area is great for kiddos and we were sad that we were only there for one night. The place has an old "resort" feeling. Yes, the rooms were old and sort of smelly, but the quaintness (no TV) and the surrounding views were magificient!!

Rustic cabin in great park location

Posted Jul 14, 2014
Pros: The spectacular views of the mountains and the friendly and helpful staff. Nice comfy beds.
Cons: Air conditioning
Location: On the lake, plenty of tours or self hikes.
Arrived after midnight and got afriendly welcome. Cabin was easy to find, not flash but a good size. Air conditioner would have been good but coped with fan. The view of the Grand Teton mountains from the hotlel lobby upstairs was spectacular. We sat ouside for casual cheap lunch which was very good and unhurried. We could have watched the view all day. The Medical Clinic was excellent, the doctor assisting me with a severe mystery illness and providing me with meds so that we didn't have to make the long drive back to Jackson.

No Maid Service

Posted Jul 13, 2014
Pros: The view is stunning. Lots of wildlife in the area- in a good place above Willow Flats.
Cons: Maid Service! Customer service when something is not right. Fix it, even if the people booked through Expedia.
Location: Breakfast horseback ride at Colter Bay was phenomenal! Yellowstone is close, but Tetons much less crowded with better hikes.
After the first 2 days of an 8 night stay, we didn't receive any maid service. Granted we asked NOT to have maid service for next 2 days, but nothing was cleaned for the last 4 days. We did receive fresh towels, but that was it. AND it is a green hotel and we didn't want fresh towels- we kept our used towels on the rack as instructed. The bathroom was not cleaned and the beds were not made. When we complained, the manager (who never contacted us- but communicated through a desk clerk) said, "Sorry, you booked through Expedia- nothing we can do. We would offer you compensation IF you had not booked through a 3rd party agent." Hmmm is the sub-text: "Don't use Expedia"? At this price no small refrigerator, but it did have a Keurig. However, the "non-dairy" accompaniments curdled in my coffee. I didn't think they could go bad... just how long were they there? The lodge is not cheap, but no hot tub, or adult space. Pool is always crowded with rambunctious kids. Bar staff not the friendliest, but the lodge store clerks are very nice. The activities desk was also incredibly helpful. We would try someplace else next time. Tons of other places to stay.
