Pros: The view from the Grand Lobby Gifts shops bar and restaurant Cottages were cozy
Cons: The beds, mattresses were very uncomfortable
Location: Teton National Forest Visit Shelter Mountain, and Shelter Mountain Lodge Jenny Lake and Coulter Bay
It was fun to stay there one time, I doubt we will choose to stay there again. Hotel was nostalgic with a lot of history, clean and loved the idea of no TV's/phones etc in the room. The beds for us were truly uncomfortable, we did not sleep. Other that that the stay was pleasant. We were disappointed that the Tetons were socked in with bad weather, would have loved to photograph them. Good weather is never a guaranteed thing.

Dear Gaylene, Thank you very much for taking time to review your stay with us! I'm very glad that you enjoyed the history and solitude offered by our lodge and location. I'm still learning new pieces of history about the lodge and national park, and there are a lot of great stories behind them! I'm so sorry that you felt the beds were uncomfortable. We typically receive good reviews of the beds so please rest assured that we are going to look up your room number and check on the mattresses in that room. I'm glad you enjoyed the rest of your stay though. We do hope that you'll return in the future to hopefully enjoy great weather and take some great photographs of the Tetons. Kind Regards, April Preuss Reservations Manager

superb settingPosted Oct 11, 2013
Cons: Room cleanliness
Location: Great location. If it hadn't been closed we could have visited Yellowstone. Did enjoy the drive to Dubois.
Breathtaking views from the common area, decks, dining room and bar. Great food.

Full service lodge in the Tetons National Park.Posted Oct 9, 2013
Pros: Location. We always like to stay in the parks. Close to the action, you avoid the hour plus drive from Jackson. Good information desk if needed.
Cons: The restaurants don't really have any "lighter" fare. Mainly stick to your ribs fare. We lived on bison burgers.
Location: Everything in the park is close by.
Typical cabin room for a national park. Not fancy, but comfortable. Free WiFi helps keep you connected while you are here. Lodge has all the services of a resort hotel. Two restaurants on site. One upscale with a great view of the mountains. Back of the lodge overlooks Willow Flats with some of the best animal viewing in the park. We saw Elk and Moose.

Beautiful setting but cabins need up dating.Posted Oct 5, 2013
Pros: The view from the lodge
Cons: Updating the cabins and better food (dinners in the Mural room)
Location: Jackson was a great place to shop
We were disappointed in the Mural Room dinner we had so we only ate one night there. The breakfast are good. Rooms were not as clean as they should have been. Most the staff was friendly. It was very cold when we were there and we had two inches of snow but seeing the new snow on the Tetons was awesome.

Our CabinPosted Oct 2, 2013
Pros: The view!
Cons: Clean the rooms/cabins better
Location: Nice place to stay but too far away from Jackson Hole.
We stayed in a cabin that was very cozy. It was cold though, it took forever to heat up. No frig or microwave which was a problem as we travel with our small dog and it's nice to have a place to keep beverages cold. The cabin was not as clean as it should have been, lots of dust in the corners and our dog kept bringing me things that she found. For the price of the cabins/rooms I think they could do better in that department. The resort itself is beautiful, the lodge is very comfy. I recommend it highly for those visiting the Tetons! Expedia's customer service reps misinformed us on several things regarding the amenities at Jackson Lake Lodge so I suggest you call the lodge yourself for accurate information.

Excellent base to explore Grand TetonPosted Sep 30, 2013
Pros: Cabins were separate from the main buildings & so very quiet with the main activities all happening in the main lodge which was a 2 minute walk away.
Cons: Nothing significant.
Location: Two major National Parks. Nothing else required!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Jackson Lake lodge. Our small cabin was really cute but had all modern facilities. The main lodge was beautiful with loads of lounging space and 3 excellent restaurant options depending on your budget. I would certainly return to the Lodge on a future visit to the area. PS the national parks nearby were not bad either!!

Good Hotel, Great location, poor food, servicePosted Sep 27, 2013
Great location and view. House keeping at our hotel cabin was poor; the room was not serviced on day 2. I complained that evening and got "half fast" minimum service. In general, food was far less than expected. The sponsored raft trip on the Snake River was excelant.

Stop on the way to yellowstonePosted Sep 25, 2013
Just stayed for one night on the way to Yellowstone. The room was fine - not huge, but the bed was comfortable, which is all that we needed. The breakfast buffet was great, and you can't beat the view -- it's worth going just for a meal to enjoy the view overlooking the Tetons.
