Skip the dinner, over priced and small portions out of certain meals, and who the heck doesn't have steak sauce? If you serve steak have steak sauce available. Service was good and very attentive just the food was so-so for the price. When we booked it didnt make any mention there was no air condition. Shower curtain had mold growing on the bottom corner but overall room was clean and comfortable, other then the heat.

It was an OK place to stay, but expensive for this old style motel. They do not serve continental breakfast until 7 AM; many travellers want to be on the road by then.

Sioux Lodge in Grand Targhee
Posted Jan 6, 2010 on Hotels.com
I reserved this hotel because information on website indicated this hotel to be only 16 miles from Grand Teton National Park. It was wrong. The hotel was actually almost hour and half of local driving going completely around. I tried to cancell second nights stay and could not do that. I thought I was being ripped-off. I do not recommend anyone going to Grand Teton National Park to stay at this hotel.

To Far from Yellowstone
Posted Jan 18, 2010
Nice casual place to stay with beautiful views. It was to far from Yellowstone which was the purpose of our trip. The drive to West Yellowstone was 2+hrs & 2 hrs to South Yellowstone on two lane roads. Nice hikes & friendly staff at Grand Targhee. The kids liked the bunkbeds down stairs and we enjoyed the semi privacy of the upstairs. We didn't realize how far it would be to get to Yellowstone and once at the entrances how far it was to drive to the different areas. The drive made for early mornings and late late nights. Driggs was a very nice town with nice people.

If you are a granola you will love this place

It's in the mountains, a hiker or bike riders dream. I don't recommend dinner (bad service and bad food) but the breakfast buffet was good. There is no air conditioner so if you are a hot person this might not be for you. The temp is cooler though. It's 40 plus miles over a mountain to get to Jackson Hole so keep that in mind.

Disappointed
Posted Jan 14, 2010
Beautiful location but the climbing wall was closed, the pool wasn't open and no ropes course. I made reservations here so the kids could enjoy all of the activities, paid their full summer rate, but many were not available. We still had fun but probably would not go back as they offered no compensation due to the inavailability of the amenities advertised.
