Expensive but nice

Posted Aug 19, 2014
Pros: Room was impressive, bed was soft and relaxing, historic elevators add a lot of charm.
Cons: Total cost of the room makes for limited economic value, and the breakfast buffet food should be better.
My wife and I stayed here after visiting Yellowstone National Park. The lobby area is small but functional with a restaurant and a bar separated by a sitting area with a fireplace. We both loved the historic elevators with the normal door and then a sliding gate. There are also a lot of neat wooden sculptures of bears in the lobby. Pictures of the room with the beams are completely accurate and extremely comfortable. Our only real issues were with the high cost of the room ($300 a night $27.50 "resort fee") and then the mediocre food at the breakfast buffet ($20/person) the next morning. The food available is impressive to look at but it was all cold, from the scrambled eggs to both kinds of sausage, etc.

Not thinking it is worth the price.

Pros: Bathroom was very nice! The toiletries were quality and organic.
Cons: Outdoor pool area is small but very cute. The rooms were very nice but there is only room to walk in a turn around. It was small.
Very nice hotel lobby. Very clean. Well manicured outdoors.

Only stayed 1 night. Clean room in a central location in the village. Staff was cheerful and very helpful. Good hours for the food. Only downside was the great pool was closed for an issue during our short stay.

Summer tourist season

Posted Jul 21, 2014
Booked a room here during peak tourist season so I payed way too much for the services and accommodations I received. After attempting to check in at 3:30 we were told to come back in an hour and our room would be ready. That was fine until we came back at 4:45 and there still wasn't a room clean. They gave us a free drink while a room got cleaned. They staff was very friendly but seemed to be over run with work. It was very apparent they need more help. As we waited for our room to be cleaned we watched what I presume a manager with a clip board keeping tabs on the workers instead of helping them out. Overall I feel I paid way too much money for my stay.

20th anniversary

Posted Jul 18, 2014
Pros: The pool and gym were great
Cons: Beds leveled, Some kind of food with the morning coffee.
Location: Teton national park, Skiing, Jackson hole, Shopping, Hiking, Sightseeing.
Room was smaller than expected but nice. the beds were comfortable but slanted toward the headboard, so had to turn around in the middle of the night, and try to sleep with my head at the foot end of the bed. The facilities were awesome. The coffee was good but for the price they could of at least had some kind of food with it.(muffin; danish; cookie, fruit, something) especially for charging the extra hotel fee, on top of the room price. Makes you feel pretty unappreciated, and that all they want is your money.

It was very good. We were in Jackson for activities at Teton Village so the convenience of the hotel location was perfect.

Unfortunate because It Could've Been Great

Posted Jul 11, 2014
Pros: The pool was nice
Cons: Management traning would be a good place to start. If the management is poor, everything about the hotel is poor. None of the staff look happy
Location: The location is perfect and there is everything to do nearby
I came with high hopes to the Snake River Lodge. It looked beautiful online and I was ready for a break. Unfortunately, my time there only resulted in more stress due to ineptitude of the staff and inability to understand the extent at which they have inconvenienced me on my trip and burdened me with issues to deal with for months after my stay. On the first night, my boyfriend, who is local, picked me up from the airport and drove me to the hotel. We checked in, and as he drives an antique convertable porsche, we opted for the valet park - even though, we were not told that we could valet park by the staff at the front desk. Nor did anyone offer to help us with our bags when we arrived either. A few hours later, we decided to take a walk as it was a beaitful night. On the walk, we realized that the sprinklers were on and shooting far off the lot of the hotel, we also noticed they shot into the valet lot. Yes, our car - with antique dash and electronics that cannot be rebuilt was parked along the path of the sprinkler and drenched. It will take months to find out if everything will be ok - as it sat for over two hours getting sprayed - but yet the hotel did nothing.. It took 3 Managers to get to someone worth having a conversation with, and even that was not helpful. The hotel claims people have yet to call and we had to wait the entire first day to get our mechanic to come see if we could drive the car. The staff was horrible. Never Go.

View of the mountains all around.

Pros: The location was nice and the perfect spot to be in for the July 4th festivities.
Cons: Our room too small for 5 people. The air conditioning was not working well. The laundry facilities were not adequate for the size of the resort.
Location: White water rafting & shopping.
We really enjoyed the Jackson/Jackson Hole area. Very beautiful and peaceful.
