Good Value close to Grand Teton National ParkPosted Jul 12, 2014
Pros: Relaxing environment
Location: Ride the chairlift to the top of the mountain, mountain biking, and hiking.
The room was a little outdated but was clean and comfortable. If your visiting Grand Teton National Park this is a good alternative instead of staying in the Jackson Hole area, much cheaper. It is about an hour drive to Jackson from the lodge. Also the lodge location is very beautiful and relaxing, great if you want to get a break from the busy Jackson/National Park area.

Cons: You name it, it can be done!
Location: I was surprised how far away from Jackson this "resort" was located!
Room was smelly and had to have electrician come in and replace switch to have bathroom light that would turn on. Walls too thin and I called front desk to complain about excessive noise from rooms near mine. Nothing was done by staff to quiet down other guests. After 11 PM, I got up and banged on door to quiet them down.

Stunning views, Long drive to everything.Posted Jun 23, 2014
Pros: Stunning views!
Cons: This is not a conveniently located resort.
We loved the actual resort. The rooms were just ok, but the views were absolutely stunning. We were there in the off season so everything was quiet and peaceful. We weren't familiar with the area and booked this hotel even though we were planning to go to Yellowstone. On the map, it looked like we were a quick drive from Jackson Hole which was not the case. To get to The Grand Targhee Resort requires about a 30 minute drive up the canyon, meaning to get anywhere we had to drive 30 minutes back down the canyon just to start. Our drive to Jackson Hole was about an hour and a half. To get to Yellowstone took over two hours. It was my mistake not checking the drive times but it hampered our vacation a bit.

A great break in a long trip.Posted Jun 22, 2014
Pros: Location and comfort.
Cons: Price and/or quality of breakfast buffet. Include at least one beverage in the cost.
Location: Jackson is an hour away, but Driggs is charming with a great grocery store!
We were on a long tour of the states of South Dakota and Wyoming. We thought this might be a good break from our travels. We were right. Although not everything was operational yet for the summer, watching the snow from our very comfortable lodge and eating great food was wonderful. The facility is on the back side of the Tetons and requires a considerable drive from Jackson, but it was well worth it. The staff generally were very friendly and helpful. The wait staff on our final morning left a bit to be desired in quality of service. Later in the season I'm sure we could have been very busy! We paid the regular price for the breakfast buffet but it was NOT up to the standard of what was listed on the menu in the room. Also, all beverages cost was in addition to the meal charge.

ski resort in summer--fun on the mountain topPosted Oct 22, 2013 on Hotels.com
It wasn't too crowded in the summer, but that made it great with the pool and hot tubs to ourselves. It was really clean and the staff was very helpful. I enjoyed the view, hiking in the area, and shopping in nearby Jackson, WY. Hard to find, though. It is located in the state forest and our GPS led us astray, but a call to the hotel solved the problem. I loved staying there.

Cute Cozy Lodges on a Nice ResortPosted Sep 3, 2013
Pros: The view is amazing. Cute resort. Heated pool.
Cons: They should have a bit more food on hand, such as; vending machines or fresh fruit on hand
Our experience was nice although a long drive from Jackson hole. We arrived later in the evening around 8pm and were anticipating there would be something to eat nearby. The resort had a restaurant which happened to be closed and a bar that did not have a stick of cheese or anything to buy. There was one vending machine that was in a building locked up for the night. We had a ice machine and a soda machine. We ate from what small snacks were left from the car ride. Prob should have eaten before heading up! Nice complementary breakfast in the morn at the restaurant. It rained all day the next day but still 68 degrees and the kids didn't mind they still swam in the heated pool! Good Time!!

beautiful lodgePosted Aug 23, 2013
Pros: There food was great both breakfast and supper.
Cons: have one of the lodges handicap accessible. It was very difficult for us older generation to get up and down the stairs.
Location: Yellowstone National park - Grand Teton National Park - Jackson Hole - Jenny's lake in the grand Teton park.
It was hard to find the first time but easy after that because I knew what to expect. I will go back whenever we are visiting the national parks again.

Really in the middle of nowhere .GPS quit working miles before hotel. Very scenic. Room was large, refrig & microwave would have been nice. Chair lift to view area was good. A place to stay & relax, not to use as a base for day trips.
