Old features. Smelly room. Stained mattresses. Dirty carpet. Thin towels. Uncomfortable.

A good location, just a couple blocks from the shops and restaurants of the Jackson tourist area. The parking is tight, but other than that the grounds were decent, well kept. The room was comfortable and clean.

Comfortable hotel, especially to use as base camp

Posted Aug 7, 2014
Location: Right next to Grand Teton National Park, the Snake River, Gros Ventre and the Natiional Elk Refuge. Also art galleries and museums.
I was in Jackson for a conference and to enjoy the outdoors, so the comfort of a clean room with a refrigerator/microwave was wonderful. It had all the amenities I needed, the staff was great. And it was in walking distance to most of Jackson, so I didn't have to drive everywhere.

Old motel style, bikers/truckers place - don't go!

Posted Aug 3, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Nearly everything
Location: Close to the village with lots of restaurants ans shops
I had two rooms for 2 nights, paid 800 USD for that. We skipped breakfast the second morning and had it separately - it's the worst you can imagine. Hotel is a motel and is used by bus tours, bikers and truckers. Not recommendable. Only good thing is the location, and that obviously allows them to charge what they charge. Also, on a separate note, our iPad got "lost" in the room, and while we could track the location electronically a few miles away from the motel, we never got it back, which makes you wonder, who would have taken it a few miles away from the hotel... Find something else, if you want to enjoy Grand Teton and Yellowstone!

Good spot, very convenient!

Posted Jul 25, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Bars in bath area. And a better breakfast.
Location: Don't know since car was in shop for 2 days we were there and wife had trouble walking very far. Mexican rest. Across from hotel was great!
Room was great, could use safety bars in shower. Breakfast left a little to be desired.

Close to Jackson attractions

Posted Jul 23, 2014
The hotel is in a great location - very close to Jackson area attractions and restaurants. The condition of the hotel itself is ok. Parking was cramped and they are trying to sell some stuffed bison by keeping them in the room and hoping kids take away a toy or two and charging later. I find this marketing scheme sleazy ... We chose this place to STAY, not to buy some stuffed animals. They can sell them in the lobby ... The hotel is in decent condition, but not great.

Family road trip

Posted Jul 18, 2014
This hotel is clean and serves a free breakfast and if that is what is most important to you then you will be fine. The beds are OLD and in terrible shape, the linens were torn and didn't fit right, the parking is terrible and non existent if you have a trailer or oversized vehicle. It was all super noisy and we weren't even near the group reservation area. We didn't try the pool. We did have our large dog which they allowed so that was nice.

Convenient location

Posted Jul 17, 2014
Location: It's in Jackson, WY near Teton National Park. What more can be said? Oh yes, the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar is just a couple of blocks up the street.
It was a convenient and reasonably priced place to stay while visiting Jackson, WY. Desk personnel at registration very pleasant and helpful. No problems during a 2 day stay. "Free" breakfast at an adjacent restaurant was OK.

My husband and I stayed at Painted Buffalo in July of 2014. Hotel is very accessible and close to downtown. It is an older hotel but clean and has character ( not a chain). I would stay there again.

Trip to Jackson

Great location, room was average, staff was average, never got to use the pool so I can't coment on that, but their free breakfast might be the worst I've ever seen.
