“Started off poorly, but...”
The room had 2 huge king beds with one nightstand in-between, but nothing else - no chairs, no table, pretty useless (the bathroom, however, was beautiful with slate tile/glassed-in shower). All the rooms have stacking washer/dryers in a closet. The 2nd night, guests upstairs (we were on the 2nd floor) came in about midnight and started doing laundry!!! Until well past 1:00AM we had to hear the pounding of the washer and then the dryer, besides them banging around, opening doors/closing doors, etc. The next morning I asked to be moved (preferably to the 3rd floor and over to the front-side of the building) or we were leaving. They did move us to a really nice room with one king bed, 2 nice big leather chairs, a table, 2 nightstands, 2 closets, a fireplace, and a patio. Again, the stupid washer/dryer tho! Seems it would be more practical to have a fridge instead of washer/dryer in the room and have an on-site laundry room elsewhere. But really, how many people actually do laundry on vacation! I mentioned when we checked out that they should have a sign posted on the washer/dryer saying "In consideration of other guests, no laundry is to be done after 10:00PM". The restaurant was not open for dinner on the only night we had available (Monday)). There is a big ugly construction hole next door and a truck route on the other side. Nothing the hotel can do about those issues. Just unfortunate. Easy walking to everything in town. The Kitchen Restaurant was excellent.
