Definitely a Gem

The property is nestled one block from the Interstate, and the first thing you notice is how quiet the area is. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast is fairly decent, although I was disappointed when they ran out of cream cheese. Where I come from, a bagel without cream cheese is a crime. The housekeepers do a thorough job of cleaning, the beds are comfortable and the air conditioner/heater is whisper quiet. Believe me, I've stayed at hotels with noisy units. This is a well-maintained hotel with an indoor gym and outdoor pool. Major shopping and restaurants are just a few blocks away. I definitely plan to return.

Needs an Update but a Good Value Overall

In a previous hotel stay in Ridgeland gone awry, we found Days Inn and Suites adjacent to a previously visited and preferred competitor. DI&S met all our must have needs, though, and has become a reliable overnight stay for our purposes. Cleanliness of room/hotel-I hope that the responsible party will see the value of investing in new linens, bedclothes, etc. Although always crisp and clean, these are sometimes frayed and visibly worn. Simple fixes like the TLC that a deep clean service would provide a fresher image. Wall, door, and furnishing surfaces are sometimes observably less than spotless and I have found hairs in the RR upon our initial inspection. Quality of service-On our three stays, interaction with the front desk and service persons have been mainly positive. Three of the four innkeepers are pleasant and one, Destiny, is even friendly. There is one who sounds hateful over the phone and in person and she probably needs a Manners Review. Hotel amenities-Breakfast, fridge, microwave, internet, air conditioning, non-smoking rooms, and no charge parking are important to us and the hotel offers all these, in addition to its close proximity to local shopping and refueling options. It is close to interstate 20, making it accessible to our route. Hotel location
