Poor Service - Run with minimum staffPosted Jul 19, 2013
Cons: Clean linens. More people to serve and help
Location: Good location.
Only two people working a full hotel. Could get phone answered at front desk and my child complained that his bed comforter stunk. I smelled it and it smelled like very strong body odor. Obviously not cleaned or changed. It was late and I was trying to get my child to sleep. I called to get a new (clean) one and I was told by the man at the front desk that it would be 30 minutes because he didn't have a key to the linen closet, the guy who did was driving the shuttle to the airport to pick up someone. Really, this hotel staffs with 2 people while they are bringing in thousands of dollars each evening. Seriously poor service and damages the Hilton reputation.

Will find somewhere else to stay next time.Posted Jul 16, 2013 on Hotels.com
Checkin-waited 2 hours in the lobby with an infant and all of our luggage on a cart because our room wasn't ready yet. We were joined by 3-4 other frustrated families that also had to wait. No manager was available until the following day. They gave us a voucher for breakfast that was ok, but would have been complimentary at most competing hotels in the area anyways. Room was clean, pool was filthy with debris all over the bottom, hot tub wasn't heated, pool showers were gross. Hilton garden usually holds itself to a better standard than this.

Pros: See above
Cons: The shower tub was very slick with the soft water. Very unsafe!! Need to install treads on bottom of tub.

The hotel was in a great location right off I-20. Lots of places to eat within walking distance.

Was not at all satisfied when I arrived & checked in. Was put in a smoking room. I am extremely sensitive to cigarette smoke, began coughing & having trouble breathing the moment I walked into the room. Called front desk was told they did not have any other rooms available. Sent maintenance to spray room. Did no good. Maintenance told me there were rooms available just not cleaned yet. So maintenance went to front desk & was able to get room switched. Not happy with front desk at all. Antoine was not accommedating. I am a woman traveling alone & would have had to look for a room at 10pm had it not been for manitenance. It's a shame the manitenance knows more of what is going on in the hotel than the front desk. Not a pleasant experience & I travel to Jackson for market yearly, but not sure I will use Hilton again.
