ok for an enroute overnight

Posted Jul 7, 2014
Pros: The free breakfast was apparently good even though we did not partake...there were lots of others seemingly enjoying it however.
Cons: clean it up a bit and make sure if the guest asks for something mentioned as being available on their website that it is indeed available.
Location: no clue we didnt stay long enough to enjoy any nearby attractions
i had asked for a crib, fridge and microwave got none of them...the phone did not work ....room very small compared to other LaQuintas I have stayed in....the hotel was near the highway and older which wasn't really an issue but the fact that the door had a one inch gap in it even closed was disconcerting as we had our 5 month old baby with us. Will continue to use LaQuintas just not this one.

Older facility

Posted Jun 25, 2014
It's an older facility. Maintenance needed in many ways. The staff however were gracious and very expeditious in upgrading our accommodations when the A/C in our room proved to be insufficient and my little lady needed a refrigerator. They did so quickly, happily, and at no extra cost.

Gross, dirty

Posted Jun 19, 2014
The room was dirty- stains on comforter, mold on shower and all over bathroom. The whole room smelled like a chain smoker was just there, even though it was labeled a non-smoking room.

Totally disappointed!

Posted Jun 13, 2014
I was very disappointed in the cleanliness of this MOTEL! The rooms smelled like smoke, although it was nonsmoking. The vending area wreaked with a strong urine smell. The sidewalks had leaves and dirt everywhere and we were nowhere near the beach. We could not access the pool. They did have great front desk service. That was the only good thing. I would only reccomend this place to my worst enemy.

this is an old LaQuinta -needs severe updating.

Posted May 19, 2014
Pros: the rates
Cons: needs a total redo - especially the bathroom, looked like one of the hotels you rent by the hour. LaQuinta should close this.
Location: Chili's close, IHOP if you like that. We stayed at a new version of LaQuinta on our way back, also in Jackson - it was fabulous.
Was not horrible. this is the old type of LaQuinta. The bathroom was not too clean - a lot of mildew. Breakfast was minimal at best, good coffee. good if you like cereal and bagels. no eggs, sausage, Danish etc

Nightmare

Posted May 5, 2014
Pros: nothing
Cons: customer service - 1 out of 5 people I came in contact with were competent
Location: great location - we were there for my son's basketball tourney - gym was 5 minutes away
refused to let me checkin before 1500 - when they did let me check in they put me way on the backside wher I had to carry my bags up a flight of stairs and around the whole top floor - when I put my keycard in and opened the door low and behold someone was already in the room - thank goodness they weren't there - so I had to lug my bags all the way back down and wait even longer before I got my room - got up early the next morning and walked into the lobby for breakfast at 720 or so to a room full of people waiting for food - supposed to start at 0700 - nothing was out not even coffee - worker was rude - and when they did put the food out it was terrible - there was nothing there
