Limited options in Jackson, OHPosted Sep 28, 2013
Pros: Location to downtown Jackson, Ohio Breakfast served each morning: juice, coffee, danishes, fruit, cereal, waffles, etc.
Cons: Do not allow smoking within 40 feet of front door! There was not butter for the waffles for breakfast. Commode lid was broken and sliding off the to
Location: We were in town for the Apple Festival.
Upon arrival, several people were gathered around the main entrance to the hotel, smoking cigarettes. Went inside to check in, only to find out that those people were the hotel employees. Then, the computer was down and could not check in. This is not a classy hotel....you get what you pay for. However, hotels are very limited in this town, so we took what was available. Every time we drove up to the hotel or went downstairs the employees were out smoking by the front door.

Stopping for the nightPosted Aug 11, 2013 on Hotels.com
The staff was very helpful, and overall our stay was just fine. However the rooms, or at least our room needed to be aired out. It was stinky, stale. Bed was comfy and water hot.

Nice place to sleepPosted Aug 1, 2013 on Hotels.com
We happened to stop here on the way to Virginia and had not been to a Red Roof Inn before. We were pleasantly surprised. The room was nice, clean and well maintained. The continental breakfast was minimal, but they kept it stocked. We had no problems and if we were passing through the area again, would not hesitate to stay there.

Over priced relative to other red roofsPosted Jun 28, 2013
The price was to high and the breakfast was a terrible disappointment. Red Roof would do well to just get rid of it all together.

Nice hotel, meets all your basic needsPosted Jun 9, 2013
Cons: Lighting insufficient for reading a map, etc. unless sitting directly under bed lights. Smoking seemed to be everywhere.
Loved that the room had a good bed (though a bit too hard) and updated, clean bathroom. Staff was friendly and helpful. Location of hotel to restaurants convenient. Negatives include lack of sufficient lighting in the room and the smell of smoke rooms throughout the non-smoking area. Definitely will return to visit family and stay at your hotel as the cost is doable.

I had requested a non-smoking room, but when I went into the room, it was obvious that someone had been smoking in it. When I asked the front desk for another room, they said that that was the only room available like that. When I went back up the the front desk to ask for some spray, a handicapped couple was requesting ash trays for their room and indicated that they had some delivered to their room last night #104 which was my room. It did not appear that the motel was full and if I could have cancelled my reservation and gone somewhere else, I would have. The check in clerk made no effort to put me in another room.

The hotel itself looked and smelled very clean and the little blonde girl who worked the night we checked in was VERY nice. Bed and pillows could have been a little more comfortable. As for the continental breakfast...don't waste your time going to it :( About a mile away were lots of places to eat :) The only good thing on the breakfast "table" was the coffee. Donuts tasted days old, the prewrapped cinnamon buns were stale and the cereal also tasted stale. I've been to hotels who have had real continental breakfasts with eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles and fruit. This had none of that so it should not be considered one.
