For the price ($50/night), nice hotel.Posted Oct 21, 2013
Pros: Close to a Mall and other stores. See also above.
Cons: Add more amenities to the room; e.g., a iron, blow dryer, coffee/tea maker, etc.
Location: Close to I-295, a Mall, a number of restaurants.
Overall the hotel is clean and in fair condition but the room I had was missing a iron and had no blow dryer. It also had the old TV type television; however, the room was clean and was not stuffy or smelly.

TerriblePosted Sep 1, 2013
Cons: Upgrade of rooms, building, room clean, and staff.
Overall the room is listed as a 3 star, but it's more like a 1.5 star. The room where dirty, staff was rude, and the comfort was interrupted by the homeless, and crack heads knocking on doors. Did not feel safe. Rating should be dropped to 1.5 stars so guest can identify what they are getting into.

NastyPosted Aug 26, 2013
Cons: Everything..take down to the ground ansd start over and hire some real service staff
Nothing good to say!!! Need to weed these type of "hotels" out of your listings. NOT a three star as listed..or even a one star...the reviews are way off line...nasty sheets and bedding...carpet and floor nasty...the "No smoking" room smelled like a bar at closing after 300 drinkers and smoker had left. Staff was rude and not able to help....no manager on duty...took bedding to the front desk and was told managment would be in until "mid morning and I could wait if I liked"..."Maintenance" man broke into our discussion two times asking for the "log" and on the third time I had to tell him to stop until we were done...he asked me if I "had a problem" and I told him yes, I alway have issues with rude people, he finally left. I wouldn't put a homeless person in this "hotel", although there seemed to be a few of those around.

Minor issues with tv remote and air conditioner were quickly addressed. Pool was out of service.

Would stay there againPosted Jul 19, 2013
Pros: Big TV, clean bathroom and friendly helpful staff.
Cons: Putting a coffee pot in the rooms.
I was looking for a clean place to sleep while caring for an elderly relative nearby. I was pleasantly surprised by the appearance of the lobby, the cleanliness of the room, and the ammenities. Would def stay there again. An excellent deal for the price.

frustrated and disappointedPosted Jul 8, 2013 on Hotels.com
Before I harp on the negative, I would like to thank Ileana for her excellent customer service. My family was disappointed by the fact that Astoria's pool was closed on the 4th of July. I had booked the rooms early and could not rebook another hotel at that time. We had attempted to stay at Astoria last year and ran into the same problem. Pool closed. we spent the majority of our stay, trying to book a hotel with a pool. In spite of it all, I was extremely impressed with Ileana. She is by far Astoria's best asset.

Good for an over-niterPosted Jun 28, 2013 on Hotels.com
This is a hotel when you need a place to sleep only - This is not the place to hang with the family during the day - that said, it is inexpensive and has a restaurant / bar on site. For a business traveler or anyone just passing thru Orange Park its fine. No coffee maker in room, and the 2 days I was there they had Plumbing issues - slight smell of sewage and very slow flushing toilets on the 2nd floor in all rooms. ASK HOTEL - prior to booking if issue resolved -

Nice but for a few critical lapsesPosted Jun 14, 2013 on Hotels.com
Enjoyed the comfort and cleanliness of the room and the location of the hotel. The continental breakfast was welcome and serviceable, but not as well-done as elsewhere. Did not enjoy the complete absence of Internet access in my room, nor the unavailability of the pool, nor the lack of plastic drinking cups, nor the nonprovision of a coffeemaker, nor the indifferent guest service at the main desk.
