Convenient for Jacksonville airport travelersPosted Jan 23, 2014
Very convenient park and fly option. Very friendly and helpful front desk staff. Left valuable property in the room which housekeeping found and turned in. Their honesty is greatly appreciated.

OK hotel close to cruise terminalPosted Jan 4, 2014
Pros: convenience to the cruise terminal
We arrived very late and had reserved 2 rooms. They were supposed to be be side each other and they were on different sides of the hotel. We could not find a parking spot because they allow large buses and trucks and RV's to take up several parking spots.

Best Western/Worst WesternPosted Dec 30, 2013
Pros: Not much
Cons: Build a new one
Location: Convenient to the airport and North Jacksonville.
Needing a motel in north Jacksonville for the night of 12/27/13, I found Expedia was offering this as a 3 star, VIP special, with a 25% discount if booked in the next few hours, so I did. My first indication that I had made a bad choice was when I arrived at the front desk and there was no attendant there. After waiting a few minutes, she arrived and I gave my name and confirmation number. No hello or how are you - just "I need a credit card and ID". On our way around the building, past a man working on his truck, thru a poorly lit parking lot, we arrived at our room. Although freshly painted, it was dated and smelled like it had a double dose of air freshner recently sprayed. Inside the room was clean, but dated. The tub was dripping and would not stop, the toilet would flush itself every 5 minutes, until I finally turned the supply off. My wife and I were disappointed, not only with the motel, but that Expedia had misrepresented it in our opinion.

Very homiePosted Dec 25, 2013
I and my daughter stayed at this hotel for two months, while my husband was in MOS school at Camp Lejeune; it was a very clean and comfortable place. The location couldn't have been more perfect, Wal-Mart and other eateries were in walking distance from the hotel...so that was great. The room we stayed in was a pretty decent size room. I was very happy to know they had a kitchen equipped with a pot and pan along with kitchen towels knife and fork etc. The fridge was large and that help especially since I cooked pretty much everyday we were there and bought groceries too. The staff, talk about friendly, they were like a family to me while we were there; they knew me by name. My daughter and I enjoyed talking to them when we needed any thing, they went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. Room service, even though it was only once a week, was on point. The lady or ladies that took care of my room were very very nice, I got to know them by name and they always made sure we had what we needed in the room. Overall, great stay, I'm very happy this was the place we decided to stay.

The hotel staff was very nice. We chose this hotel because of the price, the free breakfast and the availability of an Airport Shuttle. We were only going to be there from midnight til morning, so we thought it wouldn't really matter. Well, it did! The room was smelly and dirty and everything was greasy! Outside room entrances in FL are probably not a god idea, due to the bugs and the humidity. The room actually contained a dehumidifier - we had never seen that before! There was a 1/2" gap at the bottom of the outside door where light came in all night. The free breakfast wasn't bad, and the shower worked well, so I guess we got our money's worth, but it's really true that you get what you pay for!!!!

Big Disappointment !Posted Dec 2, 2013
1. Checked in after dark, opened my room door, flipped on the light switch, -no lights. Discovered turning on lights required turning each lamp on individually. 2. Next disappointment was when I attempted to log onto their network. After numerous failed attempts, I finally went to the front desk and with the help of the mgr, I was barely able to get on. I say barely because once logged on, my connection speed was so slow it was hardly worth the effort. Then when I returned to my room, I had lost my connection ! 3. The room had a musky, unpleasant odor. 4. I did not need heat until morning, at which time I discovered it didn't exist. I wasn't able to get the window unit to power on at all. 5. Also was looking forward to watching TV at bedtime, but couldn't find timer function on TV menu, another strike! I'm really quite surprised by low standards set by Best Western, as well as Expedia for rating this hotel at 2 stars. Had I not been so tired from traveling , I would not have stayed the night.

We were surprised that it was not as modernized as some of the other Best Westerns that we have stayed at. But it was clean and the breakfast was delicious. Our only complaint would be that the pillows were lined with plastic so they made a lot of noise when you moved.

Clean and newPosted Nov 22, 2013 on Hotels.com
The most important feature, hotel was clean and fresh. Staff was very cooperative and helpful. Morning breakfast was good and has many options like cereal, waffles, fruits, oats, milk, coffee, juice.Only downside was poor Wi-Fi reception
